<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What will success look like as our Home Care Attendant?</b></h3><ul><li><b>
Provide hands-on care with warmth and dignity:</b> Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safely transferring them with care.</li><li><b>
Help with everyday tasks:</b> Support with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) like laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, reminders for appointments, and medication schedules.</li><li><b>
Monitor and promote well-being:</b> Measure and document vital signs, ensuring participants&rsquo; health is always our top priority.</li><li><b>
Encourage strength and independence:</b> Assist with personalized home exercise programs, guided by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and thoughtfully designed to help participants thrive.</li><li><b>
Provide a helping hand with transportation:</b> Help participants enter and exit their homes safely, offering support as a medical escort for appointments when needed.</li><li><b>
Be their advocate:</b> Observe and report any changes in condition or behavior to the supervisor, ensuring participants receive the right care at the right time.</li><li><b>
Keep care seamless:</b> Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, including daily logs and progress notes in the electronic medical record system.</li><li><b>
Foster connection and understanding:</b> Communicate with participants, their families, colleagues, and partner agencies with clarity and compassion.</li><li><b>
Champion respect and privacy:</b> Protect participant confidentiality and treat them with the dignity they deserve.</li><li><b>
Offer companionship and joy:</b> Build meaningful connections by engaging in conversation, providing emotional support, and creating a positive, uplifting environment for every participant.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What does an ideal profile look like?</b></h3><ul><li><b>
A heart for service:</b> Passionate about supporting high-risk seniors and older adults, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.</li><li><b>
Experience working with older adults:</b> Previous experience with the frail and elderly population is a plus.</li><li><b>
CPR and First Aid certification:</b> If you don't have these yet, no worries! We'll provide training, and you&rsquo;ll have 60 days from hire to complete it.</li><li><b>
CNA or HHA certification preferred:</b> These credentials help, but if you don't have them, we&rsquo;re happy to assist you in obtaining the right training.</li><li><b>
Flexibility:</b> Willingness to support the team by working at the PACE center when needed.</li><li><b>
Bilingual abilities:</b> We welcome candidates who can communicate with participants in multiple languages!</li><li><b>
Valid CA driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation:</b> A clean driving record and auto insurance (as required by state law) will ensure you&rsquo;re ready to assist with transportation needs.</li><li><b>
Relevant caregiving experience:</b> Previous work as a personal care attendant, CNA, or in a similar caregiving role is highly valued.</li><li><b>
Training and registration support:</b> If you haven&rsquo;t completed a State-approved Nurse Aide, HHA, or Personal Care Assistant course, we&rsquo;ll help you get started! Plus, we&rsquo;ll guide you through the Home Care Registry process before your first day.</li></ul><div><b>

Base pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, relevant work and industry experience, certifications, and location of the role.
