nLIGHT is seeking two Buyers with experience in purchasing to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements.</div><div>
</div><div>
As a Buyer you will develop, implement, and maintain a commodity sourcing and inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain goals and objectives. A successful candidate will be able to perform procurement activities across multiple commodities and services, develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers, and optimized total cost.</div><div></div><p><b><br>
Responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>
Initiates/analyze quotations and proposals in accordance with program requirements.</li><li>
Prepare and place purchase orders, manage several suppliers/components, and ensure product is delivered on time and meets quality standards.</li><li>
Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.</li><li>
Support internal proposal reviews, fact-findings and requests for information responses, audits, and customer negotiations.</li><li>
Support Price/Cost Analysis of Subcontractor Proposals and ensure compliance to sector and FAR requirements and policies.</li><li>
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.</li><li>
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited 4-year university (in supply chain management, engineering, or related field preferred)</li><li>
3+ years&rsquo; experience in purchasing, or supply chain management.</li><li>
Knowledge of FAR/ DFAR acquisition procedures and requirements
</li><li>Familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)</li><li>
Works positively in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.
</li><li>Self-motivated, highly organized, able to deal with ambiguous requirements.
</li><li>Communicates quickly and thoughtfully through integrated team structures.
</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with a best-in-class customer service mindset.
</li><li>Expertise using software like Excel to perform data analysis.
</li><li>Ability to read technical drawings and documents.</li></ul><div><b>

Pay rate is based on qualifications</div><ul><li>
Buyer I - $25.00 to $30.00 per hour</li><li>
Buyer II - $31.00 to $38.00 per hour</li></ul><div>
