</h2><ul><li>Analyze and perform component- and system-level simulations for various industrial cooling systems, including industrial air conditioners, air-to-air heat exchangers, and cooling distribution units (liquid-to-air, liquid-to-liquid, etc.), along with their sub-systems such as heat exchangers, fans, and pumps.
</li><li>Conduct comprehensive thermal analysis of various sub-systems, to identify areas for improvement to optimize the products. Ensure efficient and optimized system architecture, working alongside CFD engineers thermal architects, and test engineers.
</li><li>Plan for prototype and create DOE for thermal testing and validation of systems and sub-systems.
</li><li>Work closely with CAD designers, and mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to develop a refined product, that meets customer specifications and guidelines
</li><li>Analyze test data, identify issues, propose new designs, and corrective actions, working along with manufacturing engineers
</li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship in the areas of thermal science and fluid mechanics.
</li><li>Collaborate with Engineering Project Leaders and stakeholders to align on tasks&rsquo; scope, timelines, objectives, and completion.
</li><li>Drive work independently while managing ambiguity, and be proactive in managing and communicating risk.
</li><li>Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in liquid cooling system designs, via attending various conferences internal and external.
</li><li>Drive innovation through research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">YOU MUST HAVE:
</h2><ul><li>B.E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Masters in Thermal Engineering or related engineering field, with deep understanding of basics of Thermodynamics &amp; Fluid Mechanics.
</li><li>5&ndash;7 years of experience as a Mechanical or Thermal Engineer, with over 4 years of direct industry experience in the thermal and mechanical design of data center air/liquid cooling systems. Alternatively, experience in the thermal/mechanical design of HVAC products such as residential and commercial air conditioners, chillers, rooftop units, air handlers, and transport refrigeration systems is also acceptable.
</li><li>Experience or working knowledge of various types of heat exchangers, including liquid-to-air and liquid-to-liquid systems, along with component-level simulation expertise.
</li><li>Hands-on experience with one or more component and system-level modeling tools such as Coil Designer, VapCyc, Dymola, OpenModelica, Macroflow or other commercially available simulation platforms is essential.
</li><li>Proficiency in programming tools such as EES, MATLAB, Visual Basic (VBA), or Python for large-scale data analysis is an added advantage.
</li><li>Working knowledge of various types of pumps (centrifugal, turbine, lobe, screw pumps), fans is a plus.
</li><li>Experience in result analysis and using tools such as ANSYS Fluent/ Icepak/ FloTherm/ Thermal Desktop or other similar tools, for analyzing various cooling &amp; heating systems, and able to summarize conclusions is a plus.

nVent&rsquo;s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee&rsquo;s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
 
Compensation Range:
$204,400.00 - $304,000.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.

Manufacturing Engineer

</h2><ul><li>As a project leader, develop a complete project plan including resources, costs, benefits and schedule, assume full responsibility for all aspects of the project to ensure it meets goals and schedule, communicate project status to stakeholders as appropriate, and follow up to ensure project results are sustained.
</li><li>Work with operators, team leaders and value stream planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
</li><li>Using lean tools, communication skills and leadership abilities, lead and facilitate kaizen activities encouraging multi-functional groups to participate and meet common goals.
</li><li>Contribute to the development of the annual business unit plan based on value stream maps, the annual business unit metric deployment and management system assessment to drive waste reduction while improving employee safety.
</li><li>Lead and support capital expenditure requests and implementations using basic cost justification and business management principles.
</li><li>Engineering Change Order (ECO) processing: authorization of product and documentation changes.
</li><li>Maintenance work order requests: Support the completion of equipment and facility enhancements to promote safety, quality, and cost/service improvements.
</li><li>Complex, multi-part, and/or tightly toleranced fixture design, development, build/guide the fixture build, testing, and deployment.
</li><li>Review fixture designs for other value streams and provide feedback to fixture designer.
</li><li>Review and update work Instructions, standard work, and shop floor job aids.
</li><li>Serve as the FMEA leader for basic processes and participant for complex/advanced processes.
</li><li>Participate in development of control plans for production lines or processes.
</li><li>Participate in New Product Introductions.
</li><li>Lead and review change management activities.
</li><li>Support manufacturing lines in terms of process control, technical questions, and problem solving.
</li><li>Be a team participant in Root Cause Analysis (RCCM) and lead small scope RCCMs.

</h2><ul><li>Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent work experience.
</li><li>Ideally, 4+ years of experience in manufacturing.
</li><li>Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment with Solid Works, AutoCAD, MS Office, MRP (Epicor preferred), etc.
</li><li>Experience presenting to managers and key partners.
</li><li>Technical writing review experience.
</li><li>Experience with Statistical Process Control and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
</li><li>Manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
</li><li>Lean experience with RCCM, MDI, kaizen, Standard Work, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, and/or CCF processes.
</li><li>Experience using DMAIC concepts in a project environment.
</li><li>Ergonomic analysis and improvement.
</li><li>A trusted authority in Manual/Manufacturing processes.
</li><li>Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
