Production Engineer – Fire Pumps & Controller

QA/QC Lead EngineerJob Summary: The Lead QA/QC Engineer will oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function, ensuring that all products&mdash;including fire extinguishers, hose reels, pumps, fire-rated doors, ducts, and specialized vehicles&mdash;comply with international standards, client specifications, and regulatory approvals. This role provides strategic leadership, manages certifications, and drives continuous improvement across the organization.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA/QC engineers across multiple product lines.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO, NFPA, UL, CE, BSI, INTERTEK, FM, and EN standards.</li><li>Ensure all products and processes meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.</li><li>Maintain product approvals and certifications with relevant authorities and classification societies.</li><li>Review and approve technical documents, test reports, and inspection records.</li><li>Establish and enforce QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols.</li><li>Monitor KPIs and quality performance metrics; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, defect reduction, and supplier quality management.</li><li>Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and store teams to ensure quality integration from design to delivery.</li><li>Lead internal and external audits, including customer audits (government related) and regulatory inspections.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices.</li><li>Oversee quality processes specific to fire pumps and pump controllers.</li><li>Verify production testing processes and ensure compliance with standards.</li><li>Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.</li><li>Supervise hydrostatic, leakage, and discharge testing processes.</li><li>Identify non-conformities, analyze root causes, and implement CAPA.</li><li>Maintain quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.</li><li>Manage documentation for UL and BSI certifications, including audit finding. corrective actions, and testing records.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).</li><li>8&ndash;10 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 3&ndash;5 years in a leadership role within firefighting, safety equipment, or heavy industrial manufacturing.</li><li>Proven expertise in fire pumps and controllers.</li><li>Strong knowledge of firefighting and safety equipment, fire protection systems, and related products.</li><li>Hands-on experience with quality management systems, certifications, and approvals (ISO, NFPA, UL, CE, BSI, INTERTEK, FM, EN).</li><li>Solid background in inspection, testing, process control, and compliance auditing.</li><li>Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Superior communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
