We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Custom Tailoring Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end operations of our tailoring division. The role requires strong technical expertise in garment fitting, alterations, and bespoke tailoring, along with proven people management and customer service skills.Key ResponsibilitiesTailoring Operations<ul><li>Supervise and manage daily tailoring operations, ensuring timely delivery of custom-made and altered garments.</li><li>Maintain high standards of garment construction, fitting, and finishing quality.</li><li>Develop and implement efficient workflows for measuring, cutting, sewing, and alterations.</li><li>Monitor inventory of fabrics, trims, and tailoring supplies.</li></ul>Customer Service &amp; Client Experience<ul><li>Interact directly with customers to understand their requirements, preferences, and body measurements.</li><li>Provide expert advice on fabric selection, styles, fits, and customization options.</li><li>Ensure personalized, high-quality service to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat business.</li><li>Resolve customer concerns regarding fittings or garment quality with professionalism.</li></ul>Team Management<ul><li>Lead, train, and motivate a team of tailors, master cutters, and support staff.</li><li>Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide skill development training.</li><li>Foster a culture of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer-first service.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Process Management<ul><li>Ensure adherence to brand standards, tailoring guidelines, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Conduct regular quality checks at each stage of production.</li><li>Maintain tailoring records, customer measurement databases, and work orders.</li><li>Collaborate with design, retail, and merchandising teams to align tailoring services with business needs.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Diploma / Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or related field.</li><li>7+ years of experience in tailoring, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, and fabric behavior.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to handle complex alterations and bespoke tailoring requirements.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management abilities.</li></ul>Key Competencies<ul><li>Detail-oriented with a passion for craftsmanship.</li><li>Customer-centric approach with problem-solving ability.</li><li>Ability to manage a high-volume tailoring department under deadlines.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and guide the team.</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Store/Workshop based role with direct interaction with customers.</li><li>May require extended hours during peak seasons (festive/wedding).</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;30,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
