<div><div>The Host is responsible for being the first point of contact for all of our guests. The Host is responsible for providing genuine hospitality while maintaining all aspects of the space and meeting guests&rsquo; needs.
This position has an hourly rate of $21.00 + Tips. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Follow the posted opening and closing duties</li><li>
Provide excellent service at all times</li><li>
Cooperate with the Ma&icirc;tre &rsquo;d and the Management team to greet incoming and departing guests with a warm, knowledgeable &amp; noticeably appreciative demeanour with eye contact and a genuine smile</li><li>
Set and maintain the dining room and podium environment and ensure materials are perfectly clean</li></ul><ul><li>
Have necessary knowledge of menu items to assist guests as needed</li><li>
Assist guest and colleagues courteously and efficiently</li><li>
Use the guest&rsquo;s name appropriately and communicate it to restaurant colleagues and assist in seating guests and pulling chairs</li></ul><ul><li>
Assist restaurant colleagues to prepare for service</li><li>
Communicate other necessary information with colleagues (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries, special requests)</li><li>
Communicate through Guest Movement chat group any relevant guest movements</li><li>
Coordinate set menus for small groups and distribute copies of the event form accordingly</li><li>
Inform restaurant managers of daily reservations forecast</li><li>
Share information on all upcoming events with the Concierge team</li><li>
Assist in monitoring all guests&rsquo; needs</li><li>
Confirm daily reservations</li><li>
Log in information about our guest preferences</li><li>
Check daily for our regular guest preferences and record them in our daily list for the service</li><li>
Assist with coat check as needed</li><li>
All other responsibilities assigned by Management</li></ul> 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li> 
1 year experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar setting in restaurants or food and beverage</li><li>
Must be able to work weekends and have open availability</li><li>
Must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment to achieve the hotel&rsquo;s common goal of guest satisfaction</li><li>
Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic</li><li>
Positive, engaging, and energetic personality</li><li>
Must be personable and able to anticipate guests&rsquo; needs</li><li>
Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision</li><li>
Very high attention to detail</li><li>
Sensitive to cultural nuances</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal on English</li><li>
Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment</li><li>
Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders</li><li>
Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies</li><li>
Ability to stand for extended periods of time</li><li> 
Multi-lingual is a plus</li><li>
Experience working with SevenRooms is preferred</li><li>
