Experience: 10&ndash;15 yearsLocation: Ahmedabad, GujaratDepartment: Supply Chain / OperationsPreferred Industry: TextileJob PurposeThe Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling end-to-end supply chain operations within the textile value chain, ensuring timely procurement, optimal inventory levels, efficient production support, and on-time delivery while minimising cost and maximising efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Planning &amp; Execution<ul><li>Develop and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies covering raw material procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.</li><li>Align supply chain plans with sales forecasts, production schedules, and business objectives.</li><li>Ensure smooth coordination between procurement, production, warehousing, and dispatch teams.</li></ul>Procurement &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Manage sourcing of textile raw materials (yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals, accessories, trims, etc.).</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost optimisation.</li><li>Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.</li></ul>Inventory &amp; Warehouse Management<ul><li>Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.</li><li>Implement inventory control systems and best practices (FIFO, JIT, ABC analysis).</li><li>Oversee warehouse operations, storage conditions, and material handling efficiency.</li></ul>Production &amp; Operations Support<ul><li>Work closely with production and merchandising teams to ensure material availability as per production plans.</li><li>Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact production timelines.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.</li></ul>Logistics &amp; Distribution<ul><li>Manage domestic and/or international logistics, including transportation, freight forwarding, and customs coordination (for export-oriented units).</li><li>Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished goods to customers.</li><li>Optimise logistics costs while maintaining service levels.</li></ul>Cost Control &amp; Process Improvement<ul><li>Drive cost-reduction initiatives across procurement, inventory, and logistics.</li><li>Analyse supply chain KPIs and prepare MIS reports for management review.</li><li>Implement ERP/MRP systems and digital tools for supply chain visibility and efficiency.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Sustainability<ul><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards.</li><li>Support sustainability initiatives related to ethical sourcing, waste reduction, and environmental compliance.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics</li><li>Expertise in procurement, inventory management, and logistics</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)</li><li>Strong negotiation and vendor management skills</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Leadership and team management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination</li></ul>Educational Qualification<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration</li><li>Master&rsquo;s degree / MBA (Operations or Supply Chain) preferred</li></ul>Desired Profile<ul><li>10&ndash;15 years of relevant experience in the textile or apparel industry</li><li>Experience in handling complex, multi-location supply chains</li><li>Exposure to export markets is an added advantage</li><li>Proven track record in cost optimization and process improvement</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per yearApplication Question(s):<ul><li>How soon can you join?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Supply chain management: 10 years (Required)</li><li>SAP Supply Chain Management: 7 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
