As an<b> Assistant Director of Nursing</b>, you will work with the Director of Nursing, correctional staff and other medical professionals to provide quality care to the individuals in residence, while managing the nursing team and ensuring all work is performed in compliance to standards and adherence to regulations.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div>
The <b>Assistant Director of Nursing</b> supervises staff and ensures policies and procedures are being followed in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:</div><ul><li>
Collaborating with medical, mental health and correctional staff to enhance quality patient care while maintaining a safe and secure work environment</li><li>
Assist DON in managing nursing staff, monitoring staffing needs, hiring and training of new staff and conducting performance evaluations</li><li>
Effectively communicate with healthcare staff and correctional staff to coordinate patient care with providers outside of the facility</li><li>
Monitoring compliance with site-specific and company policies and procedures, taking appropriate corrective action, and ensuring compliance with ACA, NCCHC standards</li><li>
Creating and managing staffing schedules to ensure adequate nursing coverage for all shifts</li><li>
Ensuring all heath care related equipment and supplies, including pharmaceuticals and over the counter medications, are appropriately stocked and available at all times</li><li>
Maintaining current and accurate patient records and documentation</li><li>
Developing staff, conducting in-service training for new and current staff</li><li>
Conducting daily clinical rounds to all designated areas of responsibility to observe and review documentation, orders, and patient care plans, and ensuring objectives are understood and practiced by the nursing staff</li><li>
Assisting in daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, and patient assessments</li><li>
Participating in all monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings as assigned and required in accordance with contract compliance</li><li>
Mitigating risks by proactively addressing potential hazards, including dangerous work conditions, health and safety concerns and reporting issues to company leadership and facility management.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
