The Patient Access Services Team Lead is the leader of the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position leads ambassadors of service, setting the standard. This position will lead a team that greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible. Performs timely and accurate registrations, scheduling, complete benefit verification, patient education (regarding benefits), scanning, faxing, and appropriate authorizations, and referrals for services.</div><div>

Leadership Level Customer Service </i></b><i>-</i><b><i> </i></b>Treats all customers and employees with dignity, respect and courtesy at ALL times, while proactively assisting customers as needed.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><b><i>
Scheduling </i></b><i>- </i>Schedules surgery/procedures, PAT appointments and 1st post-op visit with appropriate services. Communicates appointments to patients, physicians and others as required. Maintains department data base as back up. Acts as liaison to facilitate communications between physicians, patient/families, PAT, OR, patient access, patient accounts, payors, and outside customers.</li></ul></div><div><div><div><ul><li><b><i>
Department Responsibilities</i></b><i> - </i>Follows hospital and departmental rules and regulations by adhering to policies/procedures such as confidentiality, code of conduct, attendance and payroll policies. Maintains a safe and clean patient care area. Uses work time productively.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div>

Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Proven leadership skills and abilities, 1-2 years preferred in a Healthcare/Clinic setting</li><li>
Minimum of 2 yrs. work experience working in a patient access fast-paced healthcare environment.</li><li>
Insurance Verification Experience</li><li>
Healthcare Scheduling Experience</li><li>
Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred</li><li>
Experience working with managed care health plans</li><li>
Excellent patient registration skills</li><li>
Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette required</li><li>
Solid knowledge of medical terminology</li><li>
Proficient computer skills; internet, typing, data entry</li><li>
High School Diploma (Equivalent) or Higher</li></ul><p><b>
