For more information, visit us at www.nathlaw.com.We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal to support our BioChem Department, Filings Department, and firmwide marketing initiatives. This role ensures compliance with critical deadlines, accurate client communications, and smooth coordination across teams including docketing, attorneys, accounting, and filing staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and brings strong attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesBioChem Department Support<ul><li>Prepare and submit USDA monthly invoices and reports accurately and on time.</li><li>Track and monitor all U.S. and foreign filing deadlines in Microsoft Teams; send reminders to attorneys/agents.</li><li>Receive Office Actions, draft client reporting letters, coordinate attorney review, and distribute finalized correspondence.</li><li>Finalize and file responses, extensions, and related USPTO forms (RCE, AFCP, EOT, Terminal Disclaimers, etc.) after attorney review.</li><li>Communicate with clients regarding upcoming due dates, outstanding information, filing status and invoices.</li><li>Coordinate with docketing and accounting to ensure smooth reporting, billing, and filing completion.</li><li>Maintain and update USDA's Excel spreadsheets as required.</li></ul>Filings Department Support<ul><li>Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) and new applications.</li><li>Complete Notice of Allowance check-off forms and manage related correspondence.</li><li>Support backlog reporting of USPTO communications.</li><li>Handle phone calls and ensure timely, accurate message delivery to attorneys/staff.</li></ul>Marketing &amp; Miscellaneous<ul><li>Assist with all marketing efforts, including creating and posting materials, updating social media profiles, and maintaining the firm&rsquo;s CRM (Zoho).</li><li>Research potential clients for conferences and seminars.</li><li>Support marketing outreach, and client database management.</li><li>Maintain Co-Managing Partner's calendar</li><li>Provide filing assistance for other attorneys as needed, ensuring accurate coordination with docketing and filing teams.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Required Education and Experience&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree is preferred&middot; Formal paralegal education and/or training preferred, but not required&middot; Strong organization skills and proven ability to manage multiple deadlines&middot; Ability to learn and use CPI database system and Soluno accounting software&middot; Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Outlook; knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Adobe preferred (Zoho and Soluno a plus)&middot; Attention to detail and ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.&middot; Experience working within a teamCompetencies&middot; Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening to complete required communication, internally and externally&middot; Proven ability to learn and accurately follow process details&middot; Ability to self-manage assigned tasks without reminders&middot; Willing to work in a team, both independently and as a contributing team memberWhy Join UsNath offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients in the biotechnology/IP sector.Nath offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% paid employee coverage for medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.
