<div>JOB DESCRIPTION:
The person in this position will coordinate an NIH-funded study of Suicidal Ideation and Behavior in Schizophrenia and Depression. 
Primary duties include recruiting, screening, and repeatedly assessing research subjects over the course of their participation, as 
well as organizing functional magnetic resonance imaging scans. The person will also manage project regulatory documents, 
interface with institutional bodies and officials as needed to ensure compliance (e.g. prepare site-specific IRB submissions), enter 
and check data, and take on additional administrative duties as needed (monitor study spending, purchase supplies, etc.). This job

JOB DUTIES:<ul><li>Carry out extensive recruitment of patients for research studies, including posting study advertisements, engaging in outreach activities to increase</li></ul>
awareness of the study and facilitate recruitment, conducting phone screens and in-person or virtual screenings 
<ul><li>Administration of clinical interviews including but not limited to the MINI, MADRS, PANSS and C-SSRS</li><li>Run subjects in brain imaging studies</li><li>Enter, manage, organize, and analyze data using software such as RedCap and Microsoft Excel</li><li>Maintain detailed database of subject information and participation, with particular sensitivity to issues of privacy, confidentiality, and informed</li></ul>
consent 
<ul><li>Prepare and maintain IRB submission and help with grant applications</li><li>Assist with grant budgeting and the preparation of new grant applications</li><li>Literature reviews and summaries as necessary</li><li>Maintain and order lab supplies, work with business office and other administrative offices to manage resources</li><li>Train volunteers and junior lab members as necessary</li></ul>
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Computer literacy: proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Comfort with both PC and Mac environments.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills; this position entails heavy interaction with the public, and the applicant should be comfortable and enjoy interacting with patients and</li></ul>
members of diverse NYC-area populations. 
<ul><li>Effective oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Effective time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.</li><li>Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work and make decisions both independently and collaboratively with the study team.</li><li>Interest in psychology, psychiatry, and/or brain imaging.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field by the time of starting the position.</li><li>One year of experience in conducting in-person human subjects research.</li></ul>

Research Support Assistant ll - Clinical Research Department

<div>JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) is a multidisciplinary institute aimed at addressing fundamental questions in neuroscience and neuropsychiatry. We seek to hire a research technician initially for a 3 month period with a possible extension to aid in behavioral, electrophysiological, and microscopy-based experiments on animals. Some weekends are required.
JOB DUTIES:
The Research Assistant will help with setup of laboratory equipment, animal care, and colony management. The Research Support Assistant will perform laboratory and behavioral work with mice while assisting in gathering data for experiments. Preferred skills are experience genotyping, brain slicing, immunohistochemistry, mouse handling and IP injections, mouse behavior, stereotaxic surgeries. This is initially a 3 month position with a possible extension and requires some weekends.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in the following areas: biology, neuroscience, psychology, and animal behavior.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have experience working with animals and data collection. 
High motivation to improve and learn, while making a contribution to a scientific field.
