This position will be located onsite at the Millbury, Massachusetts Training Center. What You'll Do</b></h3></div><div><ul><li>Liaise with Standards and Work Methods to develop deep understanding of new technologies pending rollout.</li><li>Develop high quality trainings to train learners on new and emerging technologies prior to rollout.</li><li>Deliver technical training programs to clients through a blended learning approach, such as hands on activities to stimulate real tasks, ensuring that National Grid is effectively providing training in line with external requirements, operational priorities, and best practice.</li><li>Support the design and development of cohesive and innovative curriculum and training programs to meet client learning requests.</li><li>Liaise with the business, acting as a technical training advisor for various departments throughout the company to resolve any queries or issues.</li><li>Administer testing and conduct physical and technical assessments.</li><li>Represent technical training as the subject matter expert on various committees to ensure that technical training is represented and understood in the business.</li><li>Conduct assessments of training needs associated with the introduction of new equipment, procedures, and technology to ensure that National Grid incorporates best practice into learning methods and programs.</li><li>Participate as a subject matter expert during the modification and creation of new technical training programs by the Design and Development areas of Technical Training.</li><li>Keep up to date on training developments to ensure that innovation and latest learning requirements and ideas are incorporated into National Grids technical training programs.</li><li>Define, create, and deliver training programs such as preparing lesson plans and developing instructor materials and assessments to meet the learning and development needs of the business and ensure all external requirements are met.</li><li>Coordinate learning records administration including monitoring course completions, attendance, assessments, and qualifications.</li><li>Represent Technical Training as the subject matter expert including governance bodies, transformation and best practice committees and other technical committees in order ensure that Technical Training is represented and understood in the business.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll Need</b></h3></div><div><ul><li>A High school Diploma or Equivalent is required. Supervisory experience and/or advanced education in Engineering, Education, or a related field are considered a plus.</li><li>A minimum of 5-7 years of Electrical Operations experience with knowledge in Electric Overhead.</li><li>Journeyman/Journeywoman/Journey person in Overhead Distribution or rated line worker in Overhead Distribution.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening and presentation skills.</li><li>Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
</li><li>Valid CDL A driver&rsquo;s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid&rsquo;s Safe Driver policy.</li><li>Strong knowledge of safety policies and overhead maintenance procedures along with construction standards, with the ability to work collaboratively between these functions.</li><li>Understanding of Learning and Development principles.</li><li>Working knowledge of personal computers and various business-related software.</li><li>Candidates may also be asked to demonstrate their presentation skills and knowledge of technical subject matter by conducting a short training presentation.</li><li>Must be physically able to perform routine operating duties.</li></ul></div></div><div></div><div><div><p><br>

Job Purpose</b></h3></div><div><p>
The Absence Management Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Absence &amp; Disablilty, provides expert support and guidance on all employee absence-related matters. This role manages daily case consultations with third-party administrators, including assessing return-to-work eligibility. The analyst monitors and analyses absences using data analytics to determine whether absence days are protected under applicable laws. Additionally, the role supports the development and enhancement of reporting tools, including building out Power BI dashboards, to improve absence management insights and compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws such as FMLA and New York State Paid Leave programs.
</p></div></div><div><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Accountabilities</b></h3></div><div><ul><li>
Carry out daily case management consultations with Absence Management Third Party Administrators concerning employee absence and return to work issues</li><li>
Conduct monthly absence review meetings with business and Labor Relations to identify absence trends and develop return to work strategies</li><li>
Analyse claim information to support the department's decision-making process</li><li>
Monitor and distribute absence management reports so that stakeholders are fully informed on employee absence</li><li>
Maintain monitor and review workers compensation claims to ensure accurate reporting and avoid overpayment of claims</li><li>
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to share best practices and provide technical advice</li><li>
Manage the day-to-day relationship with the workers compensation Third Party Administrator including interpretation and application of established contractual agreements and state laws</li><li>
Monitor leave usage to prevent overuse, underuse, or policy violations</li><li>
Manage the return-to-work process to ensure seamless process for supervisors, employees and the medical team</li><li>
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws (e.g., FMLA, NY State Paid Leave programs)</li><li>
Communicate clearly and professionally about complex or sensitive absence issues</li><li>
Support managers with attendance concerns and policy application</li><li>
