<h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Primary Position Duties:</b></h1>
<p></p><ul><li>Operate directional drills, mini-excavators, and other equipment to install UG plant facilities.</li>
<li>Set up job equipment and reel trailers proficiently.</li>
<li>Perform utility exposes (potholing) and understand the utility locate process.</li>
<li>Locate other utilities as needed and maintain clearances from other utilities, ground, road, highway, sidewalk, and non-pedestrian areas.</li>
<li>Transport, handle, and place conduits (rolled and stick) in a proper manner.</li>
<li>Properly transport and install fiber reels.</li>
<li>Install fiber cables in conduits following proper procedures.</li>
<li>Set and secure pedestals and vaults accurately.</li>
<li>Read and interpret network prints.</li>
<li>Adhere to OSHA safety requirements to ensure safe and efficient completion of the job(s).</li>
<li>Maintain regular phone communication throughout the workday.</li>
<li>Follow directions provided by the crew leader.</li>
<li>Perform any other duties as assigned.</li>

<p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p>
<ul><li>The employee will primarily work in the field.</li>
<li>The job requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.</li>
<li>Exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels may occur.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Physical Requirements:</b>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p>
<ul><li>Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.</li>
<li>Reach with hands and arms.</li>
<li>Stand, talk, and hear frequently.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Travel:</b></p>
<ul><li>Travel to other project sites in different states may be required to assist with new project start-ups.</li>
<li>Travel may be for up to a 14-day period</li>
</ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Education or Skills:</b></h1>
<p></p><ul><li>Previous experience operating directional drills is required.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Combination of technical training and/or relevant experience.</li>
<li>Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.</li>
<li>Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work nights and weekends, if necessary.</li>
<li>Ability to work in all weather conditions.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license.</li>
<li>Authorized to work in the United States.</li>
<li>Must pass drug, background, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screenings.</li></ul></div>
