Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Office Assistant specializing in Behavioral Health Billing and Authorizations to support our behavioral health team on a part-time, temporary basis. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a strong background in behavioral health insurance billing, authorizations, and appeals who can step in and create a trackable system for authorizations and appeals.Responsibilities<ul><li>Submit, track, and follow up on insurance authorizations</li><li>Prepare and manage insurance appeals, including documentation and communication with payers</li><li>Maintain organized records of claims, authorizations, and appeals</li><li>Prepare Departmental Reports</li><li>Provide general administrative support as needed</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in behavioral health insurance billing (required)</li><li>Strong knowledge of insurance authorizations and appeals processes</li><li>Familiarity with Medicaid and/or commercial insurance payers preferred</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or EHR systems</li></ul>Pay: $20.00 per hourWork Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77002
