Job Description 
The Pharmacy Technician supports the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescription medications under the direct or remote supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining regulatory compliance, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring patients receive timely and accurate prescriptions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:<ul><li>
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Demonstrates meticulous accuracy to prevent medication errors.</li><li>
The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.</li><li>
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.</li><li>
A genuine concern for patient well-being and the ability to work with people who are ill or in distress.</li><li>
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and point-of-sale operations, preferred DRX.</li><li>
Proficient in medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, and brand/generic drug names.</li><li>
Skilled at adjudicating prescription claims and troubleshooting prescription insurance issues (e.g., commercial, private, AHCCCS, Medicare Part D, and sliding fee scale).</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
An active and in good standing Arizona Pharmacy Technician license.</li><li>
Active, in-good-standing national certification (e.g., PTCB, ExCPT) must be maintained throughout employment.</li><li>
Must have at least 1,000 hours of experience working as a pharmacy technician in an outpatient setting under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.</li></ul>
Standard Employment Requirements:<ul><li>
Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver&rsquo;s license (within 30 days of hire if the applicant is from out of state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the past five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver&rsquo;s license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH&rsquo;s liability auto policy.</li><li>
Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the first ninety (90) calendar days of employment and maintain a valid card for the duration of employment with NATIVE HEALTH.</li><li>
Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.</li><li>
Must provide an up-to-date immunization (IZ) record upon employment.</li><li>
Must have a current Tuberculosis (TB) skin test report within the past 12 months upon employment and provide an annual update.</li><li>
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.</li></ul>
