Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Responsible for a variety of gardening and grounds maintenance work in areas surrounding NEXCOM Hospitality Group NHG properties.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li> Maintains appearance of external areas of buildings to include walkways entryways paths sidewalks and driveways.</li><li> Rakes, shovels to ensure areas are clear of leaves, dirt, ice and snow.</li><li> Removes weeds and unwanted plants from cracks, joints and crevices.</li><li> Picks up trash and sweeps parking lots and sidewalks daily.</li><li> Assists with maintenance and care of building exteriors as needed to include washing windows and entry doors cleaning sills pressure washing building exteriors and maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness of gazebos decks spa areas etc.</li><li> Work includes gardening general care of grounds including picking up trash and debris cutting grass planting and transplanting grass, ground cover, flowers, shrubs and trees.</li><li> Controls and prevents pests, vertebrate rodents, birds etc and plant pests such as weeds plant diseases and fungi.</li><li> Maintains lawns to include laying sod, aerating existing lawns, seeding, mowing and trimming edges with the use of applicable hand and power tools.</li><li> Prunes and trims flowers shrubs and hedges for a neat appearance.</li><li> Inspects plants for obvious plant diseases plant insects and unusual or poor plant growth and reports these conditions to the supervisor.</li><li> May be required to measure and mix fungicides insecticides and herbicides using instructions on product labels spraying and dusting as directed.</li><li> Operates equipment to include hand mowers standing mowers weed cutters and a variety of hand tools.</li><li> May operate a tractor with pull mower.</li><li> May be required to greet guests at time of arrival and offer assistance with luggage directions base services and local area information.</li><li> Reports to supervisor or security personnel acts of vandalism and or damage to NHG facilities.</li><li> Performs other related duties as assigned</li></ul></div><div></div><div><p><b><br>

Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Regularly performs the full range and scope of housekeeping services at a Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and/or Navy Lodge property including, but not limited to, cleaning guest rooms, interior public spaces, storage areas, laundry rooms, exterior spaces, etc. These services include, but are not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, cleaning, removal of debris/trash, transporting clean and dirty linen and towels, etc. Uses hand and powered cleaning equipment in connection with performing duties.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas.</li><li>
Operates cleaning equipment e.g. vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, waxer, and polisher. Empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes, and polishes room furniture. Also washes walls partitions, air vents, disinfects and deodorizes toilet bowls/lavatories, etc.</li><li>
Washes and replaces window treatments and cleans ceiling fixtures. Changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds.</li><li>
Moves furniture to clean under and behind, uses step stool to clean window and window treatments, cabinet tops, mirrors, and picture frames.</li><li>
Cleans bathroom areas including tub, tile, walls, commode, floors, and vanity.</li><li>
Cleans kitchen area including stoves, ovens, microwave, refrigerator, cabinets, and floor. Washes and disinfects dishes, utensils, and cookware.</li><li>
Cleans iron and ironing board and replaces cover as necessary. Cleans and ensures proper functionality of luggage racks and ensures proper number of male/female hangers are available in closets.</li><li>
Ensures TVs are clean and programmed to proper channel and volume, alarm clocks are properly programmed with back up battery, and in-room phones are clean, properly programmed, and in working condition.</li><li>
Places proper number of amenities in room to include consumables and non-consumables.</li><li>
Removes and replaces bed linen, inspects mattresses and pull-out sofas. Moves and re-positions beds upon guest checkout weekly or at a guest s request.</li><li>
Greets and welcomes guests upon sight, always maintaining outstanding guest relations.</li><li>
Ensures privacy and security of guests is maintained at all times.</li><li>
Cleans, vacuums, and mops corridors, stairways, guest laundry, patios, and balconies. Shampoos rugs/carpets and polishes rails of stairways on a regular basis. Completes scheduled carpet cleaning using heavy industrial type carpet cleaners and equipment.</li><li>
Performs deep cleaning as required by program standards (e.g. on a scheduled basis and upon check-out of guests) in pet friendly rooms and in rooms that had an ADA service animal which includes but is not limited to defrosting the refrigerator, cleaning windows inside and out, carpet cleaning (shampoo and or spot treatment), cleaning walls, and other such tasks.</li><li>
Maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms.</li><li>
Continually communicates the status of cleaned rooms and other spaces to supervisor through completion of daily assignments or property management system in the housekeeping department.</li><li>
Accomplishes minor repairs and maintenance of equipment used and reports to supervisor when major repair or replacement is required.</li><li>
Cleans and inspects exterior spaces, such as parking lots and outside passage ways.</li><li>
May be required to load and unload trucks vans. Assists with the receipt of supplies from vendors, the assembly, separation, storage, and delivery of merchandise by opening boxes and crates. May also be required to move heavy items by use of hand truck. Uses common hand tools such as hammers, pliers, box cutters, crowbar, and shears for cutting bands.</li><li>
Responsible for the pass key and other keys as assigned. Returns all keys at the end of each shift.</li><li>
Must report immediately to the supervisor such things as no luggage in a stay-over guest room, no service needed room status, vacancies, extra guests, unauthorized pets, and any other unusual circumstances.</li><li>
Reports any lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor immediately listing the room number or area where items were found.</li><li>
May be responsible for the set-up, breakdown, and clean-up of the complimentary self-service breakfast bar. Assists with preparing, heating, displaying, and replenishing breakfast items available to guests during breakfast hours. Ensures surrounding area is returned to its original state and free of all left-over food by the end of designated breakfast hour. Required to obtain proper food handling certifications as applicable.</li><li>
Completes all required safety security training.</li><li>
Maintains a clean and safe environment. Applies knowledge of blood-borne pathogens safety measures to determine potential safety concerns related to contaminated linens and personal care items. Follows all NEXCOM Hospitality Group NHG protocols during daily service activity.</li><li>
Performs laundry operations at the facility.</li><li>
May be required to possess a valid state driver's license to travel to other lodging facilities as required within the normal scope of duties.</li><li>
May be required to obtain NHG housekeeping certification within 6 months of employment as well as other certification requirements.</li></ul><p><b>

Utilizes the Property Management System PMS for the preparation of the daily housekeeping report and to schedule housekeepers to ensure all program commitments are met.</li><li>
Coordinates with front desk and maintenance personnel to ensure rooms are clean and ready for occupancy. This includes preparing work requests to the maintenance department.</li><li>
Conducts daily inspections of rooms housekeeping carts common areas laundry facilities and maintains written documentation of these inspections.</li><li>
Conducts training on proper work methods and safety procedures. Fully implements all safety fire prevention SDS and environmental industrial hygiene requirements.</li><li>
The incumbent is responsible for the security of all items in the storeroom and or assigned storage areas. Determines and places orders for cleaning supplies in-room amenities and other materials or equipment needed by the housekeeping staff and ensures items are available when required.</li><li>
Ensures equipment is properly maintained stored and accounted for. Issues amenities supplies and linen to the housekeepers and performs a monthly quarterly inventory as required.</li><li>
Inspects rooms daily to ensure NHG standards are met and preventive maintenance repairs are completed. Originates work orders for needed repairs to guest rooms or public areas and reviews them with the Maintenance Department Housekeeping Manager or NHG General Manager GM</li><li>
Checks vacant rooms to verify condition and possible unauthorized occupancy. Also notifies front desk NHG GM of any discrepancies.</li><li>
Evaluates performance recommends awards and or corrective disciplinary actions. Ensures all leave requests are in writing and approves disapproves in a timely manner. Interview and recommend applicants for selection or promotion.</li><li>
Handles guest and or staff suggestions and complaints resolves problems in a tactful and diplomatic manner and refers difficult and or unusual situations to management.</li><li>
