This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and traceable master data across NetSuite, ZIP, Jira, and related systems. This is an individual contributor position for someone who is equally comfortable in a contractual SLA review, a maintenance window planning call, and a physical site audit. You will define the mechanisms that keep our sites accountable and surface risk before it becomes an incident.

The Role</h4>

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on the content acquisition and crawling infrastructure of a novel search engine tailored for agentic AI consumption.

In this role, you will focus on building systems that discover, fetch, and continuously refresh content from the open web and other large-scale data sources. You will design distributed crawling, scheduling, and ingestion infrastructure capable of operating at internet scale while balancing coverage, freshness, resource efficiency, and reliability. You will work on systems that process billions of URLs, manage high-throughput data flows, and ensure that high-quality content is consistently available to downstream indexing and retrieval systems.

In this position, your responsibility will be to:
<ul>
<li>Design, implement, and operate web-scale crawling systems for acquiring content from the internet</li>
<li>Build ingestion workflows for internal and external data sources, including crawlers, structured feeds, and partner integrations</li>
<li>Develop crawl scheduling, prioritisation, recrawl policies, and freshness strategies</li>
<li>Build systems for URL discovery, deduplication, content extraction, and crawl orchestration</li>
<li>Ensure reliable operation of crawling infrastructure under high-throughput conditions</li>
<li>Define observability and quality metrics for crawl coverage, freshness, throughput, and content quality</li>
<li>Monitor resource usage, bandwidth consumption, and infrastructure cost</li>
<li>Collaborate with indexing and ML teams to ensure acquired content meets retrieval and ranking requirements</li>
<li>Enable safe experimentation with crawling strategies and content acquisition policies</li>
</ul>
You may be a good fit if you:

<li>5+ years of experience building backend or distributed systems</li>
<li>Strong Go or C++ expertise</li>
<li>Experience with large-scale distributed systems (10k+ RPS, billions of URLs, high-throughput pipelines)</li>
<li>Understanding of web protocols (HTTP, DNS, TLS), crawling, scraping, and content extraction</li>
<li>Experience operating production systems and debugging failures in distributed environments</li>
<li>Strong understanding of scalability, fault tolerance, and resource management</li>

The role</h3>

We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Controller, preferably including experience at a Big Four accounting firm, to serve as the owner of the company's revenue-related processes, systems, and accounting data. This is a highly cross-functional individual contributor role responsible for ensuring alignment across revenue recognition, billing, contracts, systems, accounting, tax, credit management, and reporting.

The successful candidate will act as the primary owner of revenue-related numbers for accounting purposes, ensuring data integrity, process efficiency and compliance across the entire order-to-cash lifecycle. This person will partner closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Revenue Operations and IT teams to ensure that contracts, systems, and accounting treatments are accurately reflected and fully integrated.

Your responsibilities will include:

Revenue Ownership &amp; Accounting

</ul><ul><li>Ensure that all components of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) ecosystem, including CRM (e.g. Sales Force), contract management, billing, collections, commissions, ERP (NetSuite) are appropriately designed and integrated to support accurate accounting and reporting under US GAAP.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Partner with Billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Revenue Operations, FP&amp;A, Sales, Rewards and IT teams to ensure that transactions and data generated across the OTC lifecycle are complete, accurate, and properly reflected in the accounting records.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Lead the transformation and continuous improvement of revenue-related processes, controls and system architecture to reduce manual accounting effort, increase automation and strengthen the control environment.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Establish and monitor end-to-end controls over revenue recognition, commissions, credit notes, impairment calculations, commissions and other revenue-related accounting areas.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Identify gaps in processes, data quality, system integrations, and controls that could impact accounting accuracy, and drive remediation initiatives across functional teams.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Serve as the Finance and Accounting representative in major system implementation and transformation projects (e.g. Salesforce) and related revenue systems.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Partner with External Reporting, FP&amp;A, Accounting, Tax, and other stakeholders to define revenue-related data and reporting requirements, ensuring systems and processes provide complete, accurate and auditable information for US GAAP reporting and decision-making.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Define accounting and reporting requirements for system implementations and enhancements, perform testing and validation, and ensure accounting outcomes are compliant with US GAAP.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Oversee and perform reconciliation (BlackLine) and validation of data flows between source systems, subledgers, and the general ledger, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Drive the development of scalable processes and system capabilities that support growth while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and financial control.</li>
</ul>
Revenue-Related Accounting Oversight
<ul>
<li>Review customer contracts and commercial arrangements to ensure accounting, revenue recognition, billing, tax, and reporting requirements are appropriately captured and reflected in financial systems.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Partner with Billing, Tax, Legal, Credit, and Finance teams to ensure contract modifications, credit notes, refunds, indirect taxes, and other revenue-related transactions are accounted for accurately and in accordance with US GAAP.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Ensure timely and accurate accounting for expected credit losses, bad debt provisions, sales commissions, and other revenue-related reserves and estimates.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Monitor revenue-related balances and trends, identify accounting risks or data quality issues, and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Establish controls and validation procedures to ensure revenue-related accounting outputs are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.</li>
</ul>
Stakeholder Management
<ul>
<li>Act as the key liaison between Accounting, Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Tax, IT and external service providers.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure consistent interpretation of contracts, billing requirements, and accounting policies.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue, billing, systems, and controls.</li>

We expect you to have:

<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.</li>
</ul><ul><li>8+ years of experience in Revenue Controls, Revenue Accounting, OTC, Revenue Operations, or related finance functions.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles under IFRS and US GAAP.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Experience managing complex revenue streams, customer contracts, billing processes, and accounting implications.</li>
