Position Overview:</b></p><p>
Join our Pre-Surgical Screening Clinic team, where you&rsquo;ll play a central role in ensuring patients are fully prepared and safe for their upcoming surgeries. In this role, you&rsquo;ll:</p><p></p><ul><li>
Complete thorough patient assessments, reviewing medical history, current health, and any risk factors that may impact anesthesia or surgery.</li><li>
Provide clear education and guidance to patients and families on pre-operative instructions (fasting, medications, hygiene, etc.) while helping reduce anxiety about surgery.</li><li>
Confirm readiness for surgery by ensuring patients follow all preparation protocols and are not starting or stopping critical medications.</li><li>
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and surgical readiness.</li><li>
Maintain accurate documentation and support patients with both clinical expertise and compassionate care.</li></ul><p></p><p>
This position offers 3&ndash;4 weeks of in-person training, after which you&rsquo;ll transition to a remote role. Occasional onsite presence will be required for mandatory meetings, one-on-ones, and IT support.</p><p></p><p><b>

Job Description:</b></p><p>
Provide and coordinate delivery of clinical resources to assure safe, high quality patient care and ensure continuity of care. Perform duties in an environment of care where the needs of a patient are short term, non-acute, and non-life threatening.</p><p></p><div><b>
Required Qualifications:</b><br>

Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum of two years recent laboratory experience required.</li><li>
Minimum of two years of experience to include the majority of the following: serve as a clinical expert for a group of employees, regularly model/mentor and train employees on technical skills, make decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues and provide input on performance appraisals and/or disciplinary actions required.</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or medical laboratory science required.</li><li>
Ability to exhibit strong leadership, planning and organizational skills required.
</li><li>Ability to work independently, exercise creativity/innovation and be attentive to detail required.
</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills required.
</li><li>Ability to problem solve and exhibit strong judgment skills in a well-thought out and timely fashion and determine appropriate course of action in significantly complex situations required.</li><li>
ASCP or ASHI/ACHI certification or other recognized certification related to the area of supervisory responsibilities required. Individuals who were certified beginning January 1, 2004 maintaining their certification by participation in the ASCP - Board of Certification (BOC) Certification Maintenance Program (ASCP)CM required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation preferred.
