We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis to perform setup, functional verification, and clinical-readiness confirmation of medical ventilators and related equipment. This is a contract / as needed role.What you'll do<ul><li>Set up and perform functional verification on ventilators and related medical equipment &mdash; confirming each unit is clinically ready for deployment.</li><li>Verify ventilator operating parameters, alarms, modes, and patient-circuit integrity against manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Confirm that devices and associated supply kits are clean, complete, properly packaged, and free of expired consumables.</li><li>Document setup and verification results and maintain readiness records for each unit.</li><li>Support the periodic inspection and verification of units alongside the biomedical engineering team.</li><li>Provide clinical input on ventilator readiness during activation and deployment.</li></ul>Required qualifications<ul><li>Current, active Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (or eligibility to obtain prior to performing work).</li><li>NBRC credential (RRT or CRT), RRT preferred.</li><li>Documented hands-on experience.</li><li>Working familiarity with both critical-care instrumentation</li><li>Ability to respond to work scheduled shifts on-site.</li></ul>Preferred qualifications<ul><li>Direct experience with the medical ventilators</li><li>Experience supporting medical-cache, readiness, or emergency-preparedness programs.</li><li>Familiarity with documentation and quality requirements for stored medical devices.</li></ul>Engagement details<ul><li>Type: Contract / PRN, scheduled cycles plus on-call surge activation.</li><li>Location: On-site, Chicago, IL.</li><li>Compensation: Commensurate with experience; contract rate.</li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer.
