<div>The Transportation Coordinator will understand and model the mission of NSO. The Transportation Coordinator will understand and practice NSO&rsquo;s policy on confidentiality in respect to all NSO information. The Transportation Coordinator will exhibit professional behavior and teamwork in all facets of work at NSO. 


The Transportation Coordinator has the opportunity many times each day to leave a positive impression on our donors and residents. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for driving a variety of vehicles including a maintenance truck, box truck, passenger van, and/or company car. Responsible for weekly in-kind donation pickups, supply pickups, deliveries, organization of donation sites, and/or pick up of special donations at homes and businesses. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Move appliances and furniture to assist in moving our residents in or out of NSO housing sites.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Make weekly pick-ups at residential or commercial sites, including weighing, loading, and delivery of food orders for our retail recovery program and distribution to housing facilities.</li>
<li>Load and unload trucks at multiple facilities of the agency and place items in a location designated by the Facility Manager.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Furnish the Facilities Manager with information concerning the condition of donations received, safety hazards, and supply needs.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness and service the vehicles as needed.</li>
<li>Plan/map routes to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.</li>
<li>Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Review and follow agency safety policies, programs, and procedures.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and volunteers.</li>
<li>Ability to follow directions of the supervisor.</li>
<li>Transport NSO residents and clients to their scheduled appointments.</li>
<li>Transport Dental Clinic patients to their appointments at the NSO Dental Clinic.</li>
<li>Transport NSO supplies to locations for the Outreach Dental Hygienist.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul> 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license Clearance of background check and drug screen. This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, and is therefore exempt from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Act. 


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
<ul>
<li>Requires clear, oral, and written skills.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Strong time management and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work with limited oversight, while projecting a professional image in speech and demeanor in interactions with others in multiple venues and scenarios.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. and in excess of 100 lbs. with a two-man lift.</li>
<li>Requires the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.</li>
<li>Requires the ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Requires climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, acuity-near, acuity-far, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.</li>
<li>Requires knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. This includes basic to intermediate computer skills.</li></ul> 


WORKING CONDITIONS:
<ul>
<li>Most of the time is spent working outdoors while loading and unloading the truck.
 
Often work indoors while setting up goods and talking with donors, clients, and employees.</li>
<li>Work in a closed vehicle that is heated and air-conditioned.</li>
<li>Often exposed to very hot or cold temperatures when working outdoors.</li>
<li>This job requires physical activity performing strenuous activities.</li></ul>
