 Who We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 
 We are seeking passionate lifestyle writers who genuinely care about:

 Health + Wellness (mental health, fitness, beauty routines, self-care, holistic living)
 </li>
 <li>
 Art + Culture (local exhibits, creators, community movements, cultural conversations)
 </li>
 <li>
 Food + Drink (restaurant features, curated dining experiences, cocktail culture, culinary trends)
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 If you love discovering new wellness spaces, attending gallery openings, trying new restaurants, or writing about intentional living &mdash; this role is for you.
 
 
 We are not currently seeking additional pop culture writers.
 
 
 We need lifestyle storytellers.
 
 
 
 The Role
 
 
 
 This is a 6-month unpaid remote internship designed for academic credit and serious portfolio/personal development.
 
 
 Writers are expected to produce:
 
 
 
 2 high-quality lifestyle articles per week
 
 within an assigned vertical.
 
 
 Writers will:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Pitch timely and trend-forward lifestyle ideas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Research and develop compelling, well-sourced articles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct interviews when applicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to building out our Lifestyle authority pillar.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 All pieces are reviewed by our Copy and Publishing Editors prior to publication.
 
 
 This is not a &ldquo;rewrite what&rsquo;s trending&rdquo; role.
 
 
 We are building thoughtful, elevated lifestyle content that aligns with a luxury digital publication.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Pitch original lifestyle-focused article ideas weekly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Write 2 engaging, well-researched articles per week.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct interviews with local business owners, creatives, chefs, wellness experts, or founders when applicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay ahead of wellness, culture, and culinary trends.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain alignment with Just N Life&rsquo;s editorial tone and formatting standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Meet deadlines consistently and communicate proactively.
 </li>
 <li>
 Occasionally attend local Chicago events (preferred but not required).

 Requirements

 Strong writing and storytelling ability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Passion for lifestyle topics &mdash; not just celebrity news.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to research thoroughly and cite credible sources.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfort conducting interviews via email or phone.
 </li>
 <li>
 Organized, deadline-driven, and self-managed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Open to editorial feedback and revisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Available to commit to the full 6-month term.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attendance at mandatory weekly Monday editorial meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Consistent responsiveness in communication channels.

 Preference will be given to candidates in the Chicago area who can contribute local lifestyle coverage.
