 Role Purpose
 
 
 
 Neko is scaling fast and building as it goes. This role builds the people solutions that help our teams onboard quickly, grow, and perform, and is the capability partner for everyone outside the medical teams: tech, engineering, hardware, and business functions. The peer role, Learning Partner for Medical Teams, does the same for clinical.
 
 
 
 This is a build role.
 
 You'll invent the playbook rather than run someone else's, design people solutions as products that scale, with AI in the build, and ship a v1 in weeks, not quarters.
 
 
 
 Culture runs through all of this.
 
 You bring our Vitals and how we lead to life on purpose: building them into the solutions you design, and running the moments, rituals, and activations that make them real day to day. This is constant, not sequenced. You do this as the activation owner while the Director sets direction.
 
 
 
 What You'll Do In The First 6-12 Months

 The mechanisms that help leaders and teams see and raise their impact, not track activity.
 
 
 
 Team Listening
 
 
 
 You own what we measure, the questions and cadence, honest analysis, and turning what we hear into action leaders take. You can prototype the AI layer to prove a concept fast. The production tool is built and run by people enablement/tech team, with you as the design owner.
 
 
 
 Immersion and Onboarding
 
 
 
 How new joiners get up to speed and feel Neko fast. You design the experience and facilitate core sessions (onboarding workshops, culture inductions). You're comfortable running these live&mdash;both in-person and online.
 
 
 
 Leadership Development &amp; Culture Activation
 
 
 
 The frameworks, tools, and moments (workshops, hackathons, rituals) that grow how our people lead and bring our values to life. You're the owner of design and facilitation for signature events and learning experiences.
 
 
 
 What You Partner On
 
 
 
 You work alongside the People Business Partners for tech, engineering, hardware, and business functions. You design solutions; they deploy with you. You sense-check what those teams need and feed it back into what you build, learning from each deployment to improve the next iteration.
 
 
 
 Minimum Requirements
 
 
 
 
 Product and systems thinking.
 
 You frame a people problem as a product: built to scale and reuse, designed as journeys and systems rather than one-off events. You build from first principles, not assembled from vendor content.
 
 
 
 Sequencing and prioritisation under pace,
 
 with support from your Director. When everything feels urgent, you know how to flag trade-offs and ask for decision-making support.
 
 
 
 High AI fluency.
 
 You can show us a people solution you have built or prototyped with AI, not just describe using a chatbot. You think first about what AI makes possible, then about headcount. You're comfortable learning new tools and platforms quickly.
 
 
 
 Data and measurement literacy.
 
 You design what to measure, read it honestly, and turn it into something a leader will act on. Impact and listening are measurement problems before they are programme problems.
 
 
 
 Culture activation instinct.
 
 You turn values into how people actually work and feel, through the solutions you build and the moments you create. You read culture well and make it tangible, not declarative.
 
 
 
 Facilitation and translation across audiences:
 
 senior leaders, business functions, and technical teams. You're comfortable holding a room&mdash;running workshops, leading discussions, presenting to leadership&mdash;both in-person and online. You can take a complex idea and make it land for different audiences.
 
 
 
 Stakeholder influence and judgment in ambiguity:
 
 You own the builds but partner to land them. You know what's good enough, what to ship at 70%, and what to drop. You influence through clarity, not authority.

Learning & Development Lead

 Role Purpose
 
 
 Neko's mission is to help people stay healthy through preventive care and early detection. The MLOps Engineering Lead owns the ML infrastructure that translates sensor data into clinical inference results for Neko members, covering skin and cardio models today and expanding into new health domains. This role is the difference between ML that works in notebooks and ML that works in production at scale, reliably and within SLA, directly enabling the quality of insights Neko delivers to every member.
 
 
 What You'll Deliver in the First 6-12 Months

 Reusable MLOps component library adopted by Data Science and ML Engineering teams, reducing time-to-production for new models. (Chase 10X, not 10%)

 Business-critical inference workflows (skin, cardio) fully owned, monitored, and operating within defined SLAs. (Impact, not activity)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experiment tracking, model lifecycle, and evaluation standards documented and embedded across the Data Science Platform team, with adoption by at least two engineers. (Tech-enabled, human-centred)
 </li>
 <li>
 Databricks/Azure ML infrastructure right-sized, cost-tracked, and optimised for the current model estate. (Impact, not activity)
 </li>
 <li>
 MLOps best practices actively taught and adopted by at least two engineers who lacked prior MLOps grounding. (Member-first, always)

 Minimum Qualifications

 Production-grade Python fluency: demonstrated experience building and owning end-to-end ML systems in production, not just contributing to them.

 ML orchestration ownership: hands-on experience with Dagster or equivalent, including design decisions, not just configuration.

 Kubernetes and containerised workload management in a production context.
 </li>
 <li>
 Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or equivalent, applied to ML infrastructure.

 Distributed systems and data pipeline design across multiple data sources or domains.

 About The Engineering Team
 
 
 
 
 Distributed and Hybrid
 
 
 
 We have nearly 160 full-time engineers working across our hubs in Stockholm, London, and Berlin, spanning disciplines including Hardware Engineering, Firmware Development, Electrical Design, Algorithm Development, Machine Learning, Optronics Research, and Frontend Development. We don't expect you to join us with specific tech knowledge, but we do expect you to work with our tools: React, TypeScript, C++, and Python. Our APIs are written in C# with ASP.NET Core, using Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Active Directory for authentication.
 
 
 Our headquarters and hardware development team are based in Stockholm. We work hybrid, with engineers typically in the office 1-2 days a week. Hardware and firmware engineers need occasional on-site access to devices, so tend toward the higher end of that; software engineers have more flexibility. We come together as a full team a couple of times a year.
 
 
 Organization and Way of Working
 
 
 Engineering teams are structured into small, cross-functional groups aligned to specific goals. Some teams are long-lived while others are formed for targeted initiatives. Teams aim to operate autonomously while collaborating across the organization when necessary.
 
 
 Goals are tracked quarterly and annually, with bi-weekly organization-wide progress reviews. Most teams operate on a bi-weekly planning cadence, though each group has flexibility in how they work.
 
 
 All teams present progress, learnings, and experiments during bi-weekly engineering demos, covering topics ranging from hardware and calibration challenges to infrastructure improvements, backend capabilities, and data innovations that enhance clinical productivity.
