Nelnet&rsquo;s Marketing and Corporate Communications team is currently looking for a motivated intern interested in gaining hands-on experience with a focus on internal communications and processes.<br>
<br>
As a Nelnet Marketing and Corporate Communications team member, you will get a unique look into the happenings of Nelnet&rsquo;s diversified hybrid organization while having an impact on the way associates receive information and stay connected. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist in the planning and execution of corporate communications campaigns and projects as well as company events.<br>

Responsibilities</div><ul><li><div>
Assisting in writing, creating, organizing, and distributing of internal weekly/monthly newsletters, articles, announcements, and other various types of content that support the organization and align with corporate communications strategy and brand standards</div></li><li><div>
Brainstorming engaging content creation ideas and bringing them to life</div></li><li><div>
Seeking out inspirational stories and positive customer experiences</div></li><li><div>
Partnering and collaborating with business areas to determine communication needs</div></li><li><div>
Responding to and prioritizing requests for content creation and distribution</div></li><li><div>
Aiding in reviewing and copyediting content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand standards</div></li><li><div>
Utilizing and helping to maintain the corporate communications content planner</div></li><li><div>
Assisting in updating the company intranet</div></li><li><div>
Working on special projects as needed</div></li></ul><div>

Passion for writing and excellent editing and communication skills</div></li><li><div>
Creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a positive attitude</div></li><li><div>
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines</div></li><li><div>
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills</div></li><li><div>
Extremely strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality</div></li></ul><ul><li><div>
Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and tools, leveraging solutions like Microsoft Copilot to optimize workflows, generate content, and support strategic communication initiatives</div></li></ul><ul><li><div>

Desired Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
Two completed years of undergraduate coursework preferred</div></li><li><div>
Pursuit of a degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or related field is preferred</div></li><li><div>
Some previous work experience preferred</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of AP Style preferred</div></li><li><div>
Photoshop, InDesign, or other graphic design experience is a plus but not required</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with social media platforms</div></li><li><div>
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
