<div><p>Our Finance Interns play a meaningful role in supporting the financial operations that help Nelson Labs make informed, data-driven decisions. This 12-week program runs from May 18th to August 7th, offering hands-on experience in several key areas of corporate finance. Interns engage in real project work under the guidance of an assigned Finance Leader and are paired with a dedicated Mentor for ongoing development and support.

<ul><li>Monday through Friday, 8-hour workdays on Day Shift.

</b></p>Financial Data Analysis &amp; Reporting
<ul><li>Assist in preparing recurring financial reports, including variance analyses and monthly close activities.
</li><li>Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to support decision-making.
</li><li>Help maintain accuracy of financial dashboards and performance metrics.
</li></ul>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting Support
<ul><li>Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
</li><li>Compile relevant departmental inputs and validate data accuracy.
</li><li>Run scenario analyses and identify key assumptions or risks.
</li></ul>Cost &amp; Profitability Analysis
<ul><li>Support cost-tracking efforts and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
</li><li>Analyze trends related to operating expenses, project spending, and resource utilization.
</li><li>Assist in basic margin and profitability reviews across service areas.
</li></ul>Finance Business Partner Assistance
<ul><li>Prepare materials for financial reviews with business leaders.
</li><li>Help respond to financial inquiries from internal stakeholders with timely data and insights.
</li><li>Coordinate documentation, follow-up items, and action tracking from finance meetings.
</li></ul>Project Work Aligned with Core Financial Functions
<ul><li>Participate in finance projects such as system enhancements, process improvements, or workflow standardization.
</li><li>Assist in creating tools, templates, or models that improve reporting efficiency.
</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
</li></ul>Work Environment
<p>This role operates in a professional office environment. Finance Interns regularly use standard office equipment including computers, phones, keyboards, digital filing systems, and productivity software. Occasional interactions with operational areas may occur for data collection or process-mapping activities, with appropriate PPE provided as needed.
</p>Physical Requirements
<ul><li>Approximately 85% of the day spent sitting, typing, or working at a computer.
</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for occasional meeting or event setup.
</li><li>Frequent walking between office and meeting spaces.
</li><li>Must be able to work with standard office PPE when required (e.g., safety glasses for limited site-area visits).</li></ul></div>
