Nereus, a VTM Group company, is a full-service strategic communications firm and seeks a well-rounded Marcom Account Executive to support client programs.
 
The Marcom Account Executive (AE) plays a key role in client management, media engagement, and campaign execution. This position requires leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results through effective communication and project management. The AE will serve as a primary client contact while leading internal teams in executing integrated public relations and marketing communications programs.
 
Responsibilities
 
Client and Account Management
 
<ul>
<li>Lead client meetings and serve as a primary client contact.</li>
<li>Anticipate client needs, recommend strategic activities, and align efforts with client goals.</li>
<li>Lead internal brainstorming sessions and research initiatives to develop strategic recommendations.</li>
<li>Support the development of multifaceted, integrated public relations campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives.</li>
</ul>
Media and Analyst Relations
 
<ul>
<li>Build and maintain strong media and analyst relationships through consistent engagement.</li>
<li>Identify compelling story angles and conduct proactive media pitching.</li>
<li>Support and coordinate virtual and in-person media briefing activities.</li>
</ul>
Content Development
 
<ul>
<li>Draft and edit a variety of materials, including press releases, blogs, media pitches, web content, presentations, and project plans.</li>
<li>Oversee the planning and execution of social media strategies, including run sheet management, scheduling and platform monitoring.</li>
</ul>
Project and Event Management
 
<ul>
<li>Oversee research projects to support client strategies and industry positioning.</li>
<li>Manage assigned tasks, delegate responsibilities, and track progress against budgets and timelines.</li>
<li>Coordinate media-related events, providing onsite support as needed.</li>
<li>Manage award and speaker submissions to enhance client visibility.</li>
</ul>
Reporting and Strategic Growth
 
<ul>
<li>Track and report on campaign performance, media coverage, and project outcomes based on strategic objectives and metrics.</li>
</ul>
Professional Development
 
<ul>
<li>Deepening understanding of client technologies, solutions, and market positioning.</li>
<li>Consistent development of public relations, marketing communications, and industry best practices.</li>
<li>Effectively manage vendor relationships and external projects</li>
<li>Identify upsell opportunities by recognizing client needs and industry trends.</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
Education and Experience
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field (preferred).</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in an agency or corporate/nonprofit marketing communications role.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Tools
 
<ul>
<li>General knowledge of relevant media outlets, press contacts, and industry analysts.</li>
<li>Strong writing and editing skills, with proficiency in AP style.</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage time, projects, and competing priorities effectively.</li>
<li>Comfortable presenting to peers, supervisors, clients, and small groups.</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic design tools.</li>
</ul>
