<div>Position Summary
We are seeking a highly capable, detail-driven Controller who is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. This role manages the month-end close process and serves as a hands-on leader to the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. 
 
The Controller partners closely with senior leadership to provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision-making and business growth. 
 
Key Objectives<ul><li>
Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management through evaluation, analysis, and reporting of key data to support strategic decision-making</li><li>
Maintain accurate oversight of financial health, including financial statements, budgets, and regulatory compliance</li><li>
Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures within the current economic landscape</li><li>
Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines to safeguard company assets</li><li>
Achieve G&amp;A budgeting goals through effective planning, analysis, and corrective actions</li><li>
Collaborate with leadership to support short- and long-term strategies through accurate forecasting and financial analysis</li></ul><div>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, collections, invoicing, and general ledger management</li><li>
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and reporting</li><li>
Monitor and maintain internal control policies and procedures related to revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures</li><li>
Collaborate with management to establish and monitor financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards (biweekly, monthly, and annual)</li><li>
Ensure consistent implementation of accounting policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations</li><li>
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws</li><li>
Coordinate with management, tax advisors, and legal counsel throughout the fiscal year</li><li>
Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and executive-level reporting</li><li>
Provide leadership and oversight to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, trust, and productivity</li><li>
Manage ERP/accounting systems, including system optimization, upgrades, and process improvements</li><li>
Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance</li><li>
Improve payroll efficiency through streamlined processes and innovative solutions</li><li>
Actively participate in leadership meetings and strategic discussions</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned</li></ul><div>
Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>
Seven or more years of professional accounting experience, including at least three years in a senior accounting or financial management role</li><li>
Strong knowledge of GAAP, including financial reporting standards, internal controls, and accounting principles</li><li>
Clear understanding of State and Federal Tax Laws</li><li>
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct preferred)</li><li>
Solid understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis</li><li>
Working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements</li><li>
Experience managing payroll with a focus on process efficiency and improvement</li><li>
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas</li><li>
Proven experience in financial project management and budgeting</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to executive leadership</li><li>
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>
Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience managing, mentoring, and developing staff</li></ul>
Wage: $45.67 to $50.07
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.
