Role: Functional Data Domain Lead &ndash; Finance &amp; Accounting 
Location: Boston (Hybrid) 
 
The Functional Data Domain Lead &ndash; Finance &amp; Accounting will be responsible for defining, governing, and advancing the Finance and Accounting data domain. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, and Technology teams to ensure financial and operational data is accurate, consistent, and readily available for reporting, forecasting, and decision support.
 
 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Lead the design, integration, and governance of Finance and Accounting data across systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand their data needs, challenges, and strategic objectives related to financial reporting, planning, and analysis.</li><li>
Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable, automated, and auditable data solutions aligned with business and compliance standards.</li><li>
Oversee data flows between core financial systems (e.g., general ledger, sub-ledgers, consolidation, and reporting systems) and the enterprise data platform.</li><li>
Support the development of a Finance data roadmap to enable enhanced analytics, automation, and integration with enterprise performance management tools.</li><li>
Partner with FP&amp;A and Accounting teams to ensure consistent financial reporting and data alignment across actuals, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.</li><li>
Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in financial data management, reporting automation, and analytics.</li><li>
Provide clear communication and transparency to stakeholders on project progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming deliverables.</li><li>
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, identify anomalies, and drive data-driven decision-making.</li><li>
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>
Demonstrate hands-on experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL (or equivalent query languages)
</li><li>Minimum of 12+ years of relevant professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or data-related functions within the financial services or insurance industry.</li></ul> 
 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Deep understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, STAT, IFRS) and financial reporting processes.</li><li>
Experience with general ledger systems, consolidation tools, and reporting platforms
</li><li>Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&amp;A) processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.</li><li>
Experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, and financial data governance initiatives.</li></ul></div>

The Functional Data Domain Lead &ndash; Investments will be responsible for driving the design, integration, and governance of investment data across the enterprise. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the Investment, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with strategic investment objectives. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Strong understanding of Investment data management and reporting processes</li><li>
Partner with Investment teams to understand their technology needs and challenges related to Investment data, analytics, and portfolio management</li><li>
Collaborate with IT team and architects to design, develop and implement technology solutions aligned with investment strategies</li><li>
Oversee the integration of investment data from various sources into a central platform for efficient analysis and reporting</li><li>
Stay up to date on emerging technologies relevant to Insurance Investments like machine learning, AI, cloud computing.</li><li>
Participate in the development of a technology roadmap to support future investment needs and growth</li><li>
Communicate project progress and status updates to stakeholders effectively</li><li>
Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure project success</li><li>
Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex financial situations</li><li>
Possess Hands-on experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL (or similar languages)</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively</li><li>
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>
Having min 12+ years of relevant professional experience in investment data management</li></ul> 
 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization</li><li>
Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives</li></ul></div>
