Position SummaryThe Purchasing &amp; Inventory Control Manager oversees the purchasing department to ensure optimal inventory levels that support operational efficiency and prevent overstocking. This role requires strong ERP experience to actively monitor inventory across all stages&mdash;including in-stock, in-transit, and ready-to-ship materials. The manager must maintain a strong understanding of both new and legacy products, drive process decision-making, perform trend analysis, and support the team with escalations as they arise.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and manage the purchasing team to maintain proper inventory levels while minimizing overstock situations.</li><li>Utilize ERP systems to track and analyze inventory status, including on-hand quantities, incoming shipments, and available-to-ship items.</li><li>Conduct trend analysis to anticipate purchasing needs and support forecasting efforts.</li><li>Develop, improve, and execute purchasing and inventory control processes.</li><li>Maintain deep product knowledge across the full portfolio of telecom equipment and related technologies.</li><li>Handle department escalations, supporting team members in resolving issues with vendors, orders, or inventory discrepancies.</li><li>Collaborate with Operations leadership to align purchasing strategy with company goals.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Forecasting and demand planning abilities.</li><li>Strong management and team leadership skills.</li><li>Familiarity with telecom industry products or vendors.</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Strong negotiation capabilities.</li><li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving.</li><li>Process-driven decision-making and continuous improvement mindset.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in Excel.</li><li>Experience working within ERP systems.</li><li>Ability to analyze inventory and purchasing data for decision-making.</li></ul>Travel Requirements<ul><li>Occasional travel required: approximately 15%.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
