Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an exciting, fast-paced private neurosurgery practice! The ideal candidate is experienced, personable, has strong clinical skills, has professional written and verbal communication skills, and thrives in an exciting, team-oriented environment!You will support two providers by assisting patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication in a high quality and in a timely manner.*Performance will be given to anyone with ecw (e-clinicals) experienceResponsibilities<ul><li>Interview patients and document basic medical history</li><li>Organize and schedule appointments</li><li>Update and file medical records and insurance reports</li><li>Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services</li><li>Input medical data into patient EHR</li><li>Assist during medical examinations</li><li>Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms</li><li>Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary</li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work</li><li>Social perceptiveness and service oriented</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong organisational and planning skills</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software</li><li>Experience or certification in medical assistance</li><li>Familiarity with electronic health record systems</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Free parking</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical Assistance: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>eClinicalWorks: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Vital signs: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
