<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Position Summary</h3>
The Transporter provides support to the Residential Program by transporting youth and families for a variety of needs, including home visits, activities, court appointments, tours, and emergency situations. When not transporting, the Transporter may provide Youth Support Specialist coverage within the residential suites. This role supports youth safety, connection, and continuity of care through dependable transportation and engagement.

<ul><li>Starting Pay: $19.04 &ndash; $20.00 per hour (based on education and years of relevant experience)

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities</h3>
<ul><li>Transport youth to activities, home visits, and other scheduled appointments.
</li><li>Provide transportation to court, airports, and other designated locations.
</li><li>Transport youth and families to agency campuses for tours and admissions.
</li><li>Provide guided tours of residential and school facilities as needed.
</li><li>Assist with transportation for medical appointments when approved by a supervisor.
</li><li>Ensure agency vehicles are fueled and maintained; complete vehicle logs and work orders.
</li><li>Assist with tours when intake staff are unavailable.
</li><li>Travel (including flights) to or from NYC to supervise youth during transitions.
</li><li>Pick up new youth entering the program from court or designated meeting locations.
</li><li>Provide Youth Support Specialist coverage when not transporting.
</li><li>Maintain required certifications, including TCI and First Aid/CPR.
</li><li>Report all mandated incidents to appropriate authorities.
</li><li>Attend all required training, in-service sessions, and supervision meetings.
</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned.
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h3>
<ul><li>Ability to work effectively with youth, families, staff, and community partners from diverse backgrounds.
</li><li>Ability to respond calmly and professionally in a variety of situations.
</li><li>Strong communication skills across written and verbal formats.
</li><li>Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and collaborative.
</li><li>Valid NYS driver&rsquo;s license, adequate auto insurance, and compliance with agency driving policies.
</li><li>Ability to pass an annual physical for Category 3 job classification.
</li><li>Adherence to agency safety and health standards.
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications</h3>
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.
</li><li><div>Driver's License required</div>
</li><li>Experience working with youth or families preferred.
