<p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div>Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the finance team and is responsible for analysis of financial reports, including budget variance analysis, ratio analysis, revenue projections, annual budget preparation, and overall financial modeling for the organization. The position will also support cash management through data analysis, report creation, and development of forecasting models.</div>

<div><div><b>Essential Duties Summary</b></div>
<ul><li>Working closely with other departments to assist in market research and prepare proformas for new programs, including enrollment, expenses associated with startup, annual expenses, and other key performance indicators (KPI) by using data to determine market need and sustainability including a three-five-year future projection.</li>
<li>Prepare and analyze profit margins for each undergraduate and graduate program with and without indirect expenses by program and delivery method.</li>
<li>Generate and analyze weekly reports, including, but not limited to, graduate revenue and cash projections, which will include a weekly narrative of change both week over week and year over year, working closely with the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration.</li>
<li>Working closely with the AVP of Finance and Administration to prepare, update, and present a monthly analysis of change in financial projections, including, but not limited to revenues and expenses, noting abnormalities to be include in the monthly financial reporting.</li>
<li>Prepare variance analysis that includes explanations of variances between budget and actual month over month and year over year results by functional expense.</li>
<li>Prepare key strategic financial ratios and provide an analysis to the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration on a quarterly basis.</li>
<li>Provide support for the annual Budget process, including working with budget officers in facilitating budget requests, creation and maintaining annual budget worksheet, and working closely with AVP of Finance &amp; Admin to produce the overall institutional budget.</li>

Senior Financial Analyst

<p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Under general supervision of the Director of Online Operations, the Instructional Designer (ID) serves as an innovative resource providing consultation, training, and support to subject matter experts (SMEs) in their efforts to create and maintain instructional components to be delivered within an interactive online learning environment.</div><div>
The ID provides expertise and knowledge on various pedagogical approaches and effective practices to support course delivery. The ID will follow the course development processes at New England College (NEC) which includes alignment of outcomes, assessments and activities, and assists SMEs in the completion of a course blueprint. Aligning the course to a course quality rubric, providing feedback, and building the course in the learning management system are required.</div></div>

<div><div><b>Essential Duties Summary</b></div>
<ul><li>Apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods in the course development and redevelopment processes.</li>
<li>Design and build quality courses in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) within contractual time.</li>
<li>Maintain the flow of tasks and monitor due date timelines for SMEs to complete course development projects.</li>
<li>Collaborate with SMEs to develop an integration table and blueprint for the course.</li>
<li>Align a course quality design rubric to new course development and provide constructive and supportive feedback to SMEs.</li>
<li>Provide faculty training as appropriate.</li>
<li>Monitor developments in andragogy, and effective practices in online curriculum design and delivery.</li>
<li>Evaluate existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services, and leading industry performance benchmarks.</li>
<li>Establish and work within strict project deadlines.</li>
</ul>

<div><div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education</li>
<li>Evidence of experience with online course quality</li>
<li>Online learning instructional support experience</li>
<li>Evidence of experience interacting with faculty at the college level</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership ability</li>
<li>Knowledge of learning management systems, specifically Blackboard</li>
<li>Knowledge of MS 0365</li>
</ul>
