Your Role as a Behavioral Consultant:
<ul>
<li>Assess Student Behavior: Evaluate the initial and ongoing behavioral strengths and needs of students according to school assessment protocols and timelines.</li>
<li>Attend Meetings: Actively participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other relevant school meetings.</li>
<li>Develop Behavior Goals: Create behavior goals for the IEP and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans for students.</li>
<li>Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA): Perform FBAs for students, as needed, under the direction of a BCBA.</li>
<li>Data Collection System: Develop a system for staff to collect data that supports interventions and track behavioral changes.</li>
<li>Analyze Data &amp; Create Behavior Plans: Analyze FBA results and data sheets to develop individualized behavior intervention plans, using input from others involved with the student.</li>
<li>Track Behavior Data: Collect and graph behavior data recorded by school staff to analyze the effectiveness of the Positive Behavior Support Plan.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related fields of study.</li>
<li>Current enrollment in an ABA program with the intent to pursue BCBA certification.</li>
<li>Prior experience applying ABA principles in therapeutic or educational settings.</li>
</ul>
Preferred/Nice to have:
<ul>
<li>Working knowledge of ABA, mental health, and therapeutic methodologies.</li>
<li>Experience delivering behavioral interventions and supporting individuals with emotional and behavioral challenges.</li>
<li>Previous experience working with students with special needs, including IEP and BIP implementation.</li>
<li>Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.</li>
