<p>
</p><p><b>Required </b><b>Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience in medical insurance collections.</li>
<li>Proven experience handling a wide range of insurance denials.</li>
<li>Experience with Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) billing is a plus.</li>
<li>Reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure accurate contracted and non-contracted payments.</li>
<li>Processing daily correspondence to ensure timely and appropriate claim resolution.</li>
<li>Preparing and submitting written appeals with supporting documentation.</li>
<li>Requesting and obtaining medical records to support appeals.</li>
<li>Managing accounts with receivable aging reports to resolve outstanding balances.</li>
<li>Meeting regularly with physicians to review A/R status and address problem accounts.</li>
<li>Preparing refund request letters and write-off requests with supporting documentation.</li>
<li>Communicating directly with insurance carriers regarding claims adjudication.</li>
<li>Performing additional duties as assigned, including managing special aging accounts.</li></ul><br>

<ul>
<li>Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment</li>
<li>Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting</li>
<li>Proficient in computer applications with solid analytical and basic mathematical skills</li>
<li>Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding</li>
<li>Understanding of in-network and out-of-network claim processing guidelines and protocols</li></ul><br>

<ul>
<li>Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.</li>
<li>CPC - Certified Professional Coder (AAPC - American Academy of Professional Coders) preferred.</li></ul><br>
