As part of the New York Post&rsquo;s bold expansion into Los Angeles, we are seeking a versatile Tech Support Specialist to join our growing technology team. This role is critical to supporting our fast-paced newsroom, ensuring that journalists and staff can work seamlessly without disruption.</div><div></div><div>
As a member of the technology team, you will provide hands-on IT support, troubleshoot issues quickly, and help introduce new tools and systems that enhance productivity. Your expertise and adaptability will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and enabling the success of The California Post.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li><div>
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across computers, peripherals, and newsroom systems.</div></li><li><div>
Manage user accounts, maintain network infrastructure, ensure system updates and backups, and support cloud services when needed.</div></li><li><div>
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including strong password policies, antivirus protection, and data encryption to safeguard sensitive newsroom information.</div></li><li><div>
Set up new hardware, install and configure software, and confirm proper functionality.</div></li><li><div>
Support the rollout of new technologies&mdash;such as AI, VR, and automation tools&mdash;to enhance news gathering, production, and distribution.</div></li><li><div>
Effectively manage multiple support requests, prioritize competing needs, and oversee system upgrades or new technology implementations as required.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Requirements:</div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.</div></li><li><div>
2&ndash;3 years in technical support or help desk roles.</div></li><li><div>
Strong knowledge of operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux), business software (Google Suite), and newsroom tools (CMS, video editing software).</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, security protocols, and ticketing systems.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to quickly identify and resolve IT issues under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.</div></li><li><div>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff.</div></li><li><div>
Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple support requests, and comfortable managing new system rollouts or upgrades.</div></li><li><div>

The New York Post is seeking an experienced **Lifestyle Editor** to manage a team of reporters and editors writing across our lifestyle verticals, including sex &amp; relationships, fashion, parenting, travel, food &amp; drink, science &amp; technology and general interest. The successful candidate will be able to guide a team in producing both exclusive features and quick-turnaround news hits &mdash; often rooted in NYC but always appealing to our national audience. You will be experienced in mining social media and competitive news sources for the best leads. You will also know how to turn online and real-life chatter into stories that give depth to the Post&rsquo;s lifestyle section and put it ahead of the trends.</p>
<p>
The lifestyle editor must balance digital and print deadlines and have a keen understanding of how to make a story sing across all of our platforms. This role will report to the Head of Lifestyle.</p>
<p>
**Responsibilities:**</p>
<ul><li>Managing the advanced planning of highly-engaging and exclusive feature stories.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assigning and editing trending daily stories.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Overseeing the production of all stories &mdash; from writing headlines in the Post&rsquo;s signature wit to ensuring SEO best practices to coordinating photo shoots.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Analyzing web traffic to drive audience engagement and meet goals of the department.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitoring the news to look for opportunities to add depth to our headlines through original reporting, first-person perspectives and expert explainers.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Coordinating closely with departments such as photo, video, commerce and audience development.</li></ul>
<p>
**Requirements:**</p>
<ul><li>At least 5 years editing in a news environment, preferably in a lifestyle department.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Excellent news judgement and the sharpest of editing and writing prowess.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Your finger on the pulse of the topics and trends of interest to the Post audience.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proven understanding of what makes a story successful across digital platforms &ndash; from headlines to visuals and optimization.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stories, writers, and deadlines simultaneously.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Comfortable making fast, decisive editorial calls in a breaking news environment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Collaborative team player who can work across departments including visuals, social, and audience development.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Familiarity with analytics tools and performance metrics to help guide coverage and strategy.</li></ul>
