We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department in a manufacturing environment. This role will help manage payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting and onboarding, employee engagement, and perform general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting workplace compliance.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Payroll Coordination: Prepare and process electronic employee timecards; assist in submitting accurate and timely payroll.</li><li>
Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate digital and physical personnel files, including employment, training, and benefits documentation.</li><li>
Recruiting: Post job openings, schedule interviews, conduct pre-employment screenings, track candidate progress, and provide new hire orientation.</li><li>
Compliance Assistance: Support adherence to federal and Missouri labor laws, including recordkeeping, workplace posters, and documentation for audits.</li><li>
Administrative Support: Respond to internal HR inquiries, prepare reports, file documentation, and support general HR functions as needed. This person may assist at the receptionist desk to greet customers and answer company phone as needed. May assist accounting department with projects as needed.</li><li>
Workplace Coordination: Help with scheduling, employee communications, and coordination of training, safety meetings, and employee engagement events.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>3+ years of experience in HR and payroll&mdash;preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.</li><li>
General Accounting experience beneficial.</li><li>
Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.</li><li>
Knowledge of Missouri labor law and human resources best practices preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.</li></ul></div>
