Primary Function</div><div>
The Sr. Leave Specialist administers the company&rsquo;s leave of absence programs. This is in office role coordinates and documents eligibility, payment and tracking of premiums, claims resolution, and participation statistics. The position acts as a liaison between the company and its vendors; and works on special projects as assigned.</div><div></div><div>
Principal Duties</div><ul><li>
Engage with employees, managers, and HR Business Partners throughout the life cycle of the leave, from initiation to return to work, answering questions and coaching them throughout the process.</li><li>
Maintain communication with the vendor, employees, managers, and HR Business Partners to facilitate a smooth and timely leave process.</li><li>
Serve as subject matter expert for the leave and workers' compensation programs in alignment with company policies and processes.</li><li>
Manage all administrative aspects of leave and workers' compensation cases to include tracking of the leave, PTO usage while on leave, and working closely with Leave Administrator and payroll to ensure accurate leave dates and pay for an employee.</li><li>
Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation, following all HIPPA Regulations.</li><li>
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including FMLA, ADA, state, and local laws.</li><li>
Partner with HR Business Partners to review claims status and develop strategies to address/resolve leave claims issues.</li><li>
Process semi-monthly benefit premium reconciliations.</li><li>

Bachelor's degree preferred.</li><li>

Responsible for the management and development of the underwriters to ensure that they are fully trained in the proper application of established company lending guidelines as well as applicable agency and government requirements. Supervises daily activity of the Underwriters to ensure SLA are met or exceeded for both underwriting and conditions review.</li><li>
Responsible to ensure the proper training of the Underwriters on the LOS, AUS, regulatory and compliance policies, negotiating skills, 3rd party vendor services and any other area necessary to be effective in their role.</li><li>
Develops or utilizes system reports to effectively monitor and manage individual underwriter productivity and take appropriate action when necessary.</li><li>
Participates in and/or facilitates resolutions of individual file conflicts.</li><li>
Conducts the review of files requiring a second look at established by New Penn policies.</li><li>
Maintains and cultivates an effective working relationship with internal and external customers.</li><li>

The Licensing Officer will support the Legal Department and work closely with the business on various projects. The role will assist and facilitate the business' ability to conduct financial activities in compliance with applicable licensing laws and regulations. He or she will work with the business and other areas of the company to file license applications, waivers, exemption requests, and license renewals. This role will conduct state licensing legal research and other licensing project work as needed.</div><div></div><div><div>
