<div>About the role
We are looking for a (Senior) User Interfaces &amp; Workflow Automation Engineer to build modern internal tools that make complex R&amp;D data and workflows usable. You will design intuitive applications and interfaces that improve adoption, reduce manual effort, and ensure high-quality data handling in daily engineering work. 
Key responsibilities<ul><li>
Design and develop internal tools for R&amp;D users</li><li>
Build user-friendly interfaces (web and desktop) for searching, entering, reviewing, visualizing, and managing complex technical data</li><li>
Develop workflow-oriented applications that support project coordination, progress tracking, action management, approvals, and reporting</li><li>
Improve usability and process clarity in areas where existing workflows are fragmented, manual, or error-prone</li><li>
Implement frontend validation and workflow guidance that supports better data quality at the point of use</li><li>
Contribute to architecture, coding standards, testing, and long-term maintainability of internal applications</li><li>
Collaborate directly with users to understand needs, refine requirements, and deliver practical, incremental improvements</li><li>
Evaluate and decide where AI/ML adds value in user workflows vs. deterministic approaches, and implement accordingly</li></ul> 
What you bring<ul><li>
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field</li><li>
Relevant professional experience in building production-grade systems (3-5 years for Middle, 5-8 years for Senior)</li><li>
Strong experience in web application development and user-facing software engineering</li><li>
Experience building internal business or engineering applications, dashboards, portals, or workflow tools</li><li>
Solid understanding of frontend architecture, UI quality, API integration, and maintainable software design</li><li>
Experience with modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and REST-based integration)</li><li>
Good understanding of validation, error handling, and user workflow design</li><li>
Ability to convert complex technical requirements into simple and intuitive user experiences</li><li>
Strong communication skills in English and German, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, researchers, and project stakeholders</li></ul> 
Nice to have<ul><li>
Experience in engineering, scientific, industrial, or manufacturing software</li><li>
Experience with authentication/authorization, role-based workflows, or traceability views</li><li>
Familiarity with data-centric applications, dashboards, or workflow/process automation</li><li>
Experience implementing AI/ML-supported features in real-world applications</li></ul>

(Senior) User Interfaces & Workflow Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

<div>We are looking for a (Senior) Data Quality &amp; Automation Engineer to build reliable, scalable data foundations for R&amp;D. You will work with complex semiconductor data (wafer, sample, measurement, process) and help enable digital twins, advanced analytics, and efficient execution by making data trusted, traceable, and automated. 
Key responsibilities<ul><li>
Define and evolve data models for R&amp;D entities</li><li>
Design and implement robust data pipelines and automated data quality checks</li><li>
Improve traceability and metadata management so data can be understood, trusted, and reused across teams</li><li>
Help establish engineering standards for data handling, testing, monitoring, versioning, and documentation</li><li>
Support the development of scalable digital twin, analytics, and workflow automation use cases by ensuring data is fit for purpose</li><li>
Evaluate, prototype, and decide when to apply AI/ML vs. rule-based approaches in production data pipelines, balancing impact, complexity, and maintainability</li></ul> 
What you bring<ul><li>
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field</li><li>
Relevant professional experience in building production-grade systems (3-5 years for Middle, 5-8 years for Senior)</li><li>
Strong experience in data engineering, backend, and software engineering</li><li>
Hands-on skills in Python, SQL, APIs, and data pipelines</li><li>
Proven ability to design reliable pipelines and automate validation of complex data</li><li>
Strong understanding of data quality, traceability, schema design, and maintainability</li><li>
Experience with workflow automation, dashboarding, or integrating engineering data into operational/project processes</li><li>
Experience with testing, monitoring, and production-grade engineering practices</li><li>
Ability to work in ambiguous environments with imperfect processes and legacy systems</li><li>
Strong communication skills in English and German, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, researchers, and project stakeholders</li></ul> 
Nice to have<ul><li>
Experience with semiconductor, manufacturing, lab, metrology, test, or scientific data</li><li>
Experience implementing AI/ML pipelines in real production environments</li></ul>
