Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Training Coordinator to join our newest Youth Psychiatric Residential Treatment facility set to open in the summer of 2026 in Eugene, Oregon!
Nexus Family Healing is expanding to Eugene, Oregon, with the opening of a new 14-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) set to open this summer! This location is In partnership with the Oregon Health Authority Behavioral Health Division and will serve justice-involved youth ages 12 &ndash; 17, experiencing acute emotional concerns, and serious and persistent mental illness.

Full-time hybrid opportunity working between Eugene and Portland.</li><li>
Location: 2674 Martin Luther King Jr Blv, Eugene and 722 NE 162nd Ave, Portland</li><li>
Starting at $26-$31 an hour!</li></ul>

Position Summary: Our Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating onsite training and educational programs that will provide new and existing staff with the knowledge of principles and procedures to be successful in their role. This will be accomplished through orientation and job enrichment, progress monitoring and evaluation, documentation, and reporting, and following up accordingly to ensure that all training expectations are regularly met.
Responsibilities:
New Employee Orientation<ul><li>
Coordinates, schedules, and provides an effective New Employee Orientation program for all new hires, and ensures all new hires are receiving sufficient training before being released to perform their role</li><li>
Conducts follow-up meetings with all new employees within established time frames</li><li>
Evaluates the ongoing training and development needs of staff members and identifies training and development opportunities that will assist current employees in advancing to other positions within the organization</li><li>
Leverages subject matter experts and the Relias Training Platform when developing new courses, providing instruction of training classes or designing individual training and development plans</li></ul>
Training Records &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Maintains all training records for each individual employee and sends out notices to supervisors when specific training requirements have to meet established organization, licensing and compliance standards</li><li>
Maintains and submits a copy of all completed training records to Human Resources on a quarterly basis for accurate compliance reporting</li><li>
Acquires, reproduces and/or makes available all training materials required for classes provided, as well as maintaining appropriate levels of all training materials for all courses</li><li>
Ensures equipment and training space is maintained and in good working order at all times and establishes a scheduling method for reserving the training space by other staff</li></ul>
Employee Mentoring Program<ul><li>
Coordinates new employee support groups and monitors on-the-job mentoring systems</li><li>
Review New Employee Orientation Evaluation forms to ensure that the needs of staff and the needs of the program are being met</li></ul>
Policy, Procedure &amp; Compliance<ul><li>
Complies with and ensures that all licensing and accreditation standards regarding training and development are regularly maintained and executed to meet the requirements of all accreditation bodies' standards, guidelines, and licensing requirements</li><li>
Coordinates and assists with activities and reports during audit and accreditation reviews as necessary</li><li>
Develops and fosters positive relations with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>
Supports corporate initiatives and objectives</li><li>
Ensures confidentiality and follows HIPAA compliance regarding employees and clients in all areas</li><li>
Remains current and adherent on all company policies, assigned trainings and/or certification requirements</li></ul>
Requirements:

Required Education and Licensure:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Must be 21+ years of age</li><li>
Some experience in employee training and development required</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements</li><li>
Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.</li><li>
Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.</li><li>
Successfully participate and complete a three-part Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training</li></ul>
Preferred Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Social Services, Psychology, Education, or a closely related field</li><li>
3+ years mental health/child welfare experience</li><li>
2+ years in employee training and development</li></ul>
