Job Title: Autonomous Vehicle Technician Location: Austin, TX Pay: $22.00 &ndash; $30.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month ContractJob OverviewWe are hiring Autonomous Vehicle Technicians to support the build, maintenance, and field operation of robotic platforms and modified vehicles in Austin, TX. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and field service work across autonomous and electric vehicle systems.This position is suited for hands-on technicians with experience in automotive service, retrofit work, robotics, or similar technical environments. Candidates should be comfortable using diagnostic tools, reading wiring diagrams, and working with electrical systems in a fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Install and integrate sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, and custom hardware</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robotic systems and vehicle platforms</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance, retrofits, and hardware updates</li><li>Support field deployments with on-site troubleshooting and hardware swaps</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support testing and prototyping</li><li>Maintain tools, inventory, and accurate documentation of repairs and procedures</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Experience in automotive service, automotive retrofit, robotics, or a related technical field</li><li>Experience using mechanical and electrical tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams</li><li>Familiarity with AC/DC systems, connectors, and electronic modules</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to travel locally as needed</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop and field environments</li><li>Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability</li><li>Ability to work independently and within a technical team</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with electric vehicles or autonomous systems</li><li>Experience installing sensors or working with camera, radar, or LiDAR hardware</li><li>Soldering, crimping, or basic prototyping experience</li></ul>ScheduleTechnicians will follow a consistent, fixed schedule from one of the following options:Available Schedules:<ul><li>Sunday &ndash; Thursday</li><li>Tuesday &ndash; Saturday</li><li>Saturday &ndash; Wednesday</li></ul>Available Shifts:<ul><li>6:00 AM &ndash; 3:00 PM</li><li>2:00 PM &ndash; 11:00 PM</li></ul>Training Requirement:<ul><li>First two weeks: Monday &ndash; Friday, 10:00 AM &ndash; 6:00 PM</li><li>After training, technicians move to assigned shift</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Employer-subsidized healthcare (medical, dental, vision)</li><li>Pre-tax commuter benefits</li><li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li><li>Employer-covered disability and life insurance</li><li>401(k) retirement plan</li></ul>Additional Details<ul><li>Onsite role based in Austin, TX</li><li>Background check, driving record check, and onboarding required</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekWork Location: In person
