We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly competent professional to work as a Clinical Research Nurse/ AHP/Clinical Trial Coordinator.
 
You will contribute to the successful conduct of the expanding research portfolio at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
 
You should be highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
The post holder will, at all times, maintain high standards of practice in accordance with the Research Governance Framework and work within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for research.
 
As a Clinical Research Nurse/ AHP/Clinical Trials Coordinator , the post holder will also continue to retain clinical skills and credibility by maintaining their practice as per governing body ensuring that professional standards of practice and behavior are upheld and sufficient practice is undertaken in order to revalidate if required.
 
As part of the UHT Research, the post holders will collaborate and support research teams from South Tees. The ability to travel is essential for this role.
 
The post is 12 month fixed term, secondments will be considered.
 
The post holder will be working across specialties but experience in ED, Stroke, Trauma & Orthopaedics would be useful. Support will be given to other NIHR research studies from expressions of interest through to archiving.
 
Liaise with clinical teams and support services to ensure the smooth set-up and delivery of research studies
 
Provide support for patients considering studies and those who participate.

The post-holder will learn to manage and co-ordinate research studies with support from senior colleagues.
 
Providing effective, caring and compassionate services to patients participating in clinical research studies.
 
Complete procedures and investigations according to study protocol, Trust and local policies. Procedures include identifying potential participants for recruitment, providing information to explain the study, monitoring participants’ progress, and collecting and collating patient data.
 
Work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team in the co-ordination of clinical studies and ensure that local, national and international research regulations are adhered to with an express commitment to abide by the NHS values and the Constitution.

Clinical Research Nurse/AHP/Clinical Trials Co-ordinator

An opportunity has arisen for Community Mental Health Nurses (Care Co-coordinator / Key Worker) looking to join a great team, providing specialist mental health care to the population of North Tameside. The Secondary Care CMHT support residents with severe and enduring mental health conditions. We aim to provide outstanding care to the people of Tameside and listen to improve, in response to the needs of the population we serve.
 
This an exciting time for CMHT. We are currently undergoing a transformation within our service as part of the National Transformations of community services and the local Living Well developments. It is an opportunity to be part of our service development, with planned investment in our staff and new role development.
 
The CMHT work with people aged 16 and over with severe and enduring mental health and social care needs. The CMHT works closely with the local authority, providing a multidisciplinary approach to the care provided.
 
Care co-coordinators / key workers are responsible for providing holistic assessment, interventions, risk assessments and care plans for people on their caseload.

Community Mental Health Nurse

Accountabilities
 
To deliver the appropriate amounts of clean linen to Wards using the “top up” system
 
To assist new starter induction is on the “buddy” programme.
 
Respond to and complete tasks scheduled or by ad hoc request as per company policy within the specified timeframes.
 
Removal of clinical and non-clinical waste and laundry from departments as required.
 
To hang curtains on wards and departments as requested by the Supplies Coordinator or supervisors.
 
Use of task management system (CARPS) to enable effective management of activity within the Linen service
 
Inputting of linen stock levels using hand held terminals.
 
Completing linen quality checks as per contractual requirements, reporting any non-conformances to the linen service supervisor.
 
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the line manager.
 
Regularly working in obnoxious smelling environment, e.g. urine, vomit excrement and receiving requests to remove body fluid spillages in public areas where applicable.
 
Working in an area with Terminally ill /dying and /or aggressive patients
 
Sorting, counting, recording, and checking in and out of all linen
 
Being able to use the new Hive system Training provided
 
Cleaning and maintaining storage, corridors, and public areas
 
Stocking linen trolleys, cupboards, and guest service items
 
To support the Linen service over the weekend to a very high standard
