 A vacancy has arisen within the NHS Western Isles Vaccination team based in Uist at the Balivanich Community Clinic. The post holder will collaborate with colleagues to ensure equity and access to care to all those eligible for vaccination across NHS Western Isles and be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient and effective vaccination service to a range of people in a variety of settings across the Western Isles.
 
 
 The post holder will be aligned to a Community Nursing Team outwith peak vaccination periods.

Specialist Practitioner District Nurse Job Purpose:
The District Nurse provides leadership for the delivery of patient care within area of responsibility.
The District Nurse has day to day managerial responsibility for the area including supervision and deployment of staff.
The District Nurse will have responsibility for assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans, ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.
