 We currently require a Domestic Assistant/Porter to join an excellent team of staff at Mental Health Units varying sites. Predominantly Eastbrigs in Galashiels but may vary with prior notification due to demand.
 
 
 The successful candidate to will be required to work weekdays and/or weekend on a flexible early and back shift pattern as required.
 
 
 Applicants will be required to demonstrate a high level of competence in domestic activities, flexibility and knowledge of the NHS Borders Behavioural Framework.

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated registered practitioner to join our Clinical and Professional Development Team to develop and support staff working across NHS Borders. The post holder will support the Clinical Practice Lead to meet clinical practice needs for Registered Practitioners, Healthcare Support Workers and multi-professional staff groups. This includes;
 
 
 The design, planning, implementation and evaluation of Clinical Skills Education for Staff who are involved in direct patient care.

 Interpret and assess complex organisational and clinical practice needs aligned to current research, professional college guidance, best practice statements, national drivers and legislative requirements in order to inform organisational planning
 </li>

 Provide on-going support, specialist education knowledge and advice to clinicians, promoting research and evidenced based practice
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan, design, monitor and formally evaluate the effectiveness of clinical development activities, to ensure the provision of a quality service, which meets the standards of the department

 To undertake educational / clinical practice audit relevant to role and maintain accurate databases of Staff undertaking enhanced role courses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Project manage local implementation of clinical service initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure effective achievement of priorities.

 Stroke Liaison Nurse, Band 6 (11.5 hrs &amp; 19.5 hrs posts)
 
 
 An opportunity has arisen within the Borders Stroke Unit in Borders General Hospital for a flexible, enthusiastic individuals to assist in the provision of patient centred care.
 
 
 The practitioners will have/develop high levels of decision making and clinical judgment, be able to work independently and in conjunction with other health professionals. You will assess and initiate treatment, investigations, advice, and management of patients using professional decision-making processes to ensure safe, patient centred care.
 
 
 This will be facilitated in partnership with patients, carers, and families. You will provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives.
 
 
 You will play a vital role as the Stroke Outreach Nurse, responding to Thrombolysis and thrombectomy calls. There will be an element of aftercare including running regular stroke review clinics.
 
 
 They will assist the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines and policies.
 
 
 There will be a requirement for weekend working.

 An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated band 5 nurses to join our ward 9 team. We are a 32 bedded unit consisting of orthopaedic trauma and elective surgery. We are looking for a nurse who has a UK NMC registration and are committed to providing the highest level of quality and safe care to a wide range of patients in a busy, fast paced environment. You will work closely with all other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure we provide the right care to our patient. You will be patient focused and work well under pressure. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to this role along with being able to work independently and being flexible.
 
 
 You will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Charge Nurse, Charge Nurse and other registered band 5 nurses as well as overseeing the work of our Health care support workers.
