Oversee day-to-day operations for one or more New Heights residential settings. Provide hands-on leadership for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensure safe, high-quality supports, maintain staffing coverage, and keep documentation compliant with HCBS/CMS, Recipient Rights, payer, and agency standards. Serve as first point of contact for call-offs, emergencies, and schedule changes while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.</p><p><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><div><b>
Leadership and supervision</b><br>
<ul><li>Provide on-site leadership, coaching, and real-time support to DSPs.</li><li>Ensure coverage for all shifts; build and manage daily/weekly schedules and arrange fill-ins as needed.</li><li>Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to policies; provide feedback and escalation as appropriate.</li><li>Serve as the liaison between DSPs and leadership to keep expectations clear and issues resolved quickly.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Individual Support and Compliance</b><br>
<ul><li>Promote a safe, respectful living environment that honors choice, dignity, privacy, and independence.</li><li>Ensure supports follow each person&rsquo;s Individual Plan of Service (IPOS) and any Safety/Behavior Plans; reinforce least-restrictive, trauma-informed approaches.</li><li>Verify accurate, timely documentation in the approved system (e.g., EVV/HHAeXchange), including shift notes, progress toward goals, and incidents.</li><li>Oversee medication reminder practices per policy (no administration unless specifically authorized and trained).</li><li>Maintain Recipient Rights, HIPAA, infection control, and all HCBS/CMS, payer, and agency requirements; lead safety checks and drills as assigned.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><b>
Scheduling and Operations:</b><br>
<ul><li>Responsible for the master schedule for assigned locations; respond promptly to absences and emergencies by securing coverage or filling in.</li><li>Track hours to manage overtime and remain within budgeted coverage.</li><li>Assist with onboarding and training of new staff, including policy orientation, documentation standards, and routine care practices.</li><li>Maintain site readiness: supplies, cleanliness expectations, safety logs, and basic facilities coordination.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><b>
Communication and Reporting:</b><br>
<ul><li>Participate in leadership meetings and individual reviews as requested.</li><li>Communicate schedule updates, support needs, incidents, and staffing changes to leadership in a timely, solution-focused manner.</li><li>Support implementation and consistency of policies, procedures, and performance standards.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><b>
Qualifications:</b><br>
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED, required; Associate&rsquo;s in Human Services or related field, preferred.</li><li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in direct support or residential/community services; prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.</li><li>At least 18 years of age.</li><li>Valid Michigan driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation; auto insurance if driving individuals.</li><li>Able to pass background checks and screenings per agency/payer requirements.</li><li>Current CPR/First Aid and Recipient Rights (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe).</li><li>Strong organization, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><b>
Compensation and Benefits:</b><br>
<ul><li>$18.50 &ndash; $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.</li><li>Eligible for overtime and holiday differential.</li><li>May be eligible for health benefits per company policy.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Work schedule:</b><br>
<ul><li>Full-time, typically 40 hours per week.</li><li>Flexible availability required, including some evenings, weekends, and on-call/emergency coverage as needed.</li></ul></div><p><br>
