Nielsen&rsquo;s Audience Measurement Engineering platforms support the measurement of television viewing in more than 30 countries around the world. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support, with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Job Description
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts, incidents, and outages to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
 </li>
 <li>
 Triage issues across different teams, services, databases, and infra; escalate and coordinate with the right owners, and drive root-cause analysis and ensure fixes are implemented for long-term stability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively identify, address recurring issues, and build automation to reduce manual intervention.
 </li>
 <li>
 Improve observability by enhancing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain operational runbooks and SLO/SLA metrics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Key Skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience in Java/Python, SQL, Shell/Bash Scripting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL)
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging, caching systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with monitoring/alerting stacks (ELK, APMs, Cloud Watch etc)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or related fields, strong in CS fundamentals.
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ Years of experience in technical support, SRE, or production engineering roles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good communication and collaboration skills.
