<div><p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>
The Group Sales Manager will prospect, manage and develop key accounts for Nobu Hotel Chicago. Meet &amp; exceed individual room, banquet and ancillary revenue goals. Negotiate rates and hotel services within hotel revenue guidelines. Develop action plans for account solicitation in defined market/territory. Entertaining hotel clients both on and off property. Travel to feeder markets. Execute plans for representing the hotel on site visits and sales calls (phone &amp; in market). Attending required internal meetings for sales. Represent Nobu Hotel Chicago and RCD Hotels in the highest professional manner at all times.
</p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Execute sales activities to achieve budgeted goals</li><li>
Assist in the annual, quarterly and monthly strategic sales plan</li><li>
Analyze business to ensure booking guidelines and parameters for proper meeting space to guestroom ratio is appropriate to meet hotel&rsquo;s objectives
</li><li>Aggressively build and maintain professional and active relationships with clients, third parties and industry related counterparts, recognizing these key sources as lead generators</li><li>
Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while exceeding clients expectations
</li><li>Maintain sales database with proper client and business information adherence to leader&rsquo;s expectations
</li><li>Support and plan special sales activities, promotions and client events</li><li>
Problem solve with other departments as needed to book business into the hotel</li><li>
Prepare details for groups prior to group arrival</li><li>
Participate in resume review meetings with applicable departments</li><li>
Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings as appropriate
</li><li>Enlist senior management and leverage relationships to interact with tentative or prospective clients in order to book business</li><li>
Actively participate in associations, events, clubs and boards</li><li>
Stay ahead of hotel competition- their new developments, services and amenities, to ensure competitive knowledge and strategy are current</li><li>
Review STR data for RevMAX</li><li>
Qualify RFPs, review market for comparable.</li><li>
Assume active ownership of assigned sales territory and responds to specific market needs, initiates needed action and suggests to sales leadership any necessary actions</li><li>
Perform all responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established policy and projecting a favorable image of the hotel</li><li>
Discuss, support and innovate key service and product differentiators on an ongoing basis</li><li>
Complies with hotel standards for sales while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and leadership team</li><li>
Perform tasks and projects that support client schedules and sales revenue achievement such as assisting with telephone volume, walk-in site inspections, and evening and weekend appointments</li><li>
Has excellent product knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and room dimensions as well as to have same knowledge of competitive hotels</li><li>
Participate in Setup and Breakdown of event spaces as required by business/events.</li><li>
Interface with the catering company and events team(s).</li><li>
Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel associates as well as pre-conference meetings</li><li>
Highly motivated and flexible, possessing the ability to take initiative, to succeed under pressure and meet deadlines</li><li>
Have analytical skills, as well as excellent problem recognition and resolution skills as well as the ability to objectively communicate troublesome spots ahead to the hotel&rsquo;s senior leadership</li><li>
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language</li><li>
Knowledge of Sales, Reservation and Room&rsquo;s distribution functions</li><li>
Maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working climate</li><li>

Physical Effort:</i></p><p><br>
Significant portions of day require prolonged standing, moving and sedentary work. Ability to visually review documents and computer screen throughout day.</p></div><div><p><i><br>

Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during course of shift.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Manual Skills</i></p><p><br>
Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., typing, handwriting, or machine operations.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Work Schedule:</i></p><p><br>
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Safety:</i></p><p><br>
Responsible for operating within hotel safety guidelines, including the safe and responsible operation of hotel equipment. Reports and addresses safety concerns as they arise. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with hotel and department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.</p></div><br>

Qualifications</b></p><div><div><p><i>
Education:</i></p><p><br>
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required. College degree preferred. Degree in hospitality management preferred.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Experience:</i></p><p><br>
One to two years Hotel Sales Manager experience in a similar resort or Conference Center.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Computer Skill &amp; Other Technical Skills:</i></p><p><br>
Ability to utilize computer software and hardware required. Ability to easily maneuver on computer keyboard required.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Communication:</i></p><p><br>
Ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred.</p></div><div><p><i><br>
Other:</i></p><div><p><br>
Must be customer-service oriented and have excellent hospitality skills.</p></div></div></div></div><p></p>
