Industries: Real Estate and Entertainment -This role will encompass work over two companies.INSURANCE &amp; RISK<ul><li>Manage all business insurance policies (general liability, event, property, commercial) renewals, certificates, claims</li><li>Coordinate vendor and venue insurance requirements for events</li><li>Maintain a tracking docs and flag upcoming expirations</li></ul>LEASES &amp; LEGAL DOCUMENTATION<ul><li>Review, organize, and track residential and commercial leases across the real estate portfolio</li><li>Manage vendor contracts, artist agreements, and venue agreements for MeanRed</li><li>Maintain an organized document management system across both entities</li><li>Coordinate with attorneys on legal filings, notices, and compliance documents</li></ul>BILLS, PAYMENTS &amp; ACCOUNTS PAYABLE<ul><li>Log, track, and process bills and vendor payments across both companies</li><li>Maintain a vendor payment log and flag overdue obligations</li><li>Reconcile accounts and coordinate with bookkeeper/CPA</li><li>Create an AP system</li><li>Create a new bookkeeping system</li><li>Manage utility accounts, subscriptions, and recurring business expenses</li></ul>GENERAL OPERATIONS<ul><li>Build and maintain SOPs for recurring administrative processes</li><li>Manage business licensing, permits, and government filings</li><li>Track key deadlines, renewals, and compliance dates across both entities</li></ul>What we're looking for<ul><li>5+ years in operations, office management, paralegal, or similar administrative role</li><li>Strong accounting literacy, comfortable with AP/AR, reconciliations, and basic financial tracking</li><li>Working knowledge of contracts, leases, and legal documents (paralegal background a plus)</li><li>Experience managing business insurance policies and certificates of insurance</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously</li><li>Proficient in Google Workspace, and comfortable adopting project management and financial tools</li><li>Proactive self-starter, you chase down information, flag problems early, and build systems that stick</li><li>Bonus: experience in real estate management, event/entertainment industry, or small business operations</li><li>Understanding and use of AI to create faster work, better systems</li></ul>The role<ul><li>1099 independent contractor</li><li>In-person, Detroit, MI</li><li>Estimated 25 hours/week to start, with growth potential</li><li>Compensation: competitive hourly or project-based rate, commensurate with experience</li></ul>Pay: $500.00 - $800.00 per weekWork Location: Hybrid remote in Detroit, MI 48211
