Our designs blend Arabic calligraphy, Islamic inspiration, and global artistry with a modern aesthetic&mdash;celebrating the beauty of identity through intentional design.We&rsquo;re looking for a Product Designer who can bring creative culturally-aligned ideas to life by executing new collections, collaborating with designers and manufacturers, and ensuring every product meets Nominal&rsquo;s creative, representation, and story-telling standards.Role OverviewThe Product Designer will play a key role in executing the product design process from concept to final production. You&rsquo;ll research cultural and faith-based design influences, work closely with designers and manufacturing partners, and help maintain alignment across creative, marketing, and production teams.This role requires a mix of creative sensibility, technical coordination, and operational precision&mdash;turning vision into physical products that tell a story and resonate deeply with Nominal&rsquo;s audience.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct in-depth research on cultural, artistic, and faith-inspired motifs especially from Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Islamic traditions, and reinterpret them through a modern design lens.</li><li>Design and develop jewelry, bag, and accessory concepts, for both women and men, in alignment with Nominal&rsquo;s seasonal direction and leadership&rsquo;s vision.</li><li>Work with freelance designers, providing creative direction, clear and daily feedback, and consistent brand alignment throughout the design process.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure technical specifications, materials, finishes, and measurements are accurate and achievable.</li><li>Support the Design Team in reviewing, refining, and finalizing product concepts for approval.</li><li>Maintain detailed design documentation including sketches, measurements, revisions, and material notes to ensure clarity from concept to production.</li><li>QC and evaluate samples upon arrival, identifying any inconsistencies, documenting measurements, and communicating revisions as needed.</li><li>Coordinate closely with the Marketing Team to curate products for campaigns, product launches, and seasonal collections, ensuring visual and thematic consistency.</li><li>Propose new design ideas, themes, and materials for upcoming launches, such as Ramadan, Black Friday, or cultural capsules.</li><li>Liaise with the CX (Customer Experience) Team to provide insights on product functionality and design improvements based on customer emails.</li><li>Create and refine packaging elements such as jewelry cards, shipping boxes and mailers, and freebies, maintaining consistency with Nominal&rsquo;s aesthetic and meaningful product line.</li><li>Track progress across all active projects, ensuring deadlines and feedback loops are managed efficiently between internal and external collaborators.</li><li>Support post-launch evaluation by collecting feedback from customers and internal teams to inform future design improvements.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3-5 years of experience in jewelry product design.</li><li>Strong understanding of South Asian or Middle Eastern cultural, artistic, or faith-inspired design influences.</li><li>Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and familiar with 3D visualization tools (e.g., Rhino, Blender, or KeyShot).</li><li>Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple design projects simultaneously.</li><li>Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing partners and being available around the clock, due to the timezone differences, to have necessary discussions to push the projects forward.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset across creative and operational teams.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Previous experience in faith-based or culturally inspired design brands.</li><li>Working knowledge of Arabic or Urdu calligraphy or regional motifs.</li><li>Familiarity with e-commerce jewelry design and digital product development workflows.</li><li>Experience supporting campaigns or creative direction.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Please share link to your portfolio.</li></ul>Work Location: In person
