<ul><li>Assessment/reassessment/Diagnosis and Outcomes - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. Analyzes assessment to determine diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.</li><li>
Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations and policy.</li><li>
Evaluation and Discharge - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.</li><li>
Professional Practice</li><li>
Provides care for patients during cardiopulmonary rehab evaluations and exercise sessions.</li><li>
Responds to emergency care.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
Education</b></div><ul><li>
Associates degree in respiratory therapy (RRT) required.
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in respiratory therapy (BSRT) preferred.</li></ul><div><b>
Experience</b></div><ul><li>
Previous experience in acute care working with patients experiencing cardiac and pulmonary disease preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Licensure/Certification</b></div><ul><li>
Current Oklahoma Respiratory Therapist license is required.</li><li>
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to providing patient care and maintained throughout duration of employment.
</li><li>Advanced Life Support (ALS) is required within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.</li></ul><div><b>
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</b></div><ul><li>
Good communication and computer skills.</li></ul><p><b>
Compensation/Benefits</b></p><ul><li>
$25.74-$42.03/hr depending on previous work experience.</li><li>

Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) - Cardiopulmonary Rehab Specialist

$13.21-$21.58/hr depending on previous work experience.</li><li>
Evening differential $1.50/hr.</li><li>
Night differential $1.75/hr.</li><li>
Weekend differential $1.75/hr.</li><li>

Our Medical Surgical Observation Unit is a fast paced 24 bed telemetry/medical-surgical unit. Common problems seen in our unit include chest pain, syncope, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and diabetes. Our nurse to patient ratio ranges from 4-6 patients depending on acuity. Our patient care tech ratio can range from 8-16 patients. Our care team includes a Charge Nurse, staff nurses and patient care techs with support from respiratory, lab, and case management departments. We orient new patient care techs with a 4-6 week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor team. Responsibilities:

Provides basic patient care.</li><li>
Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.</li><li>
Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.</li><li>
Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.</li><li>
Facilitates processing of patients</li><li>
Provides clerical receptionist support</li><li>
Provides Coordinating Support</li><li>
Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
Education</b></div><ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent GED.
</li><li>Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.</li></ul><div><b>
Experience</b></div><ul><li>
Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
</li><li>Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.</li></ul><div>
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Licensure/Certification</b></div><ul><li>
Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
</li><li>Certified Nursing Assistant preferred</li></ul></div>
