</b></h3><ul><li>Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Primary Responsibilities:
</b></h3><ul><li>Consult with patients to determine appropriate treatment courses
</li><li>Recommend and order diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses
</li><li>Monitor lab results and medication adherence
</li><li>Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations to prevent or treat illnesses
</li><li>Explain procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families
</li><li>Refer patients to medical specialists as necessary
</li><li>Represent the practice in hospital committees, ensuring equitable meeting attendance among physicians
</li><li>Collaborate with and manage APPs to enhance patient care</li></ul></div>

As part of NorthBay&rsquo;s Orthopedic and Trauma Services, the Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon plays a key role in providing advanced, comprehensive care for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries and complex fractures.

</b></p><ul><li>Provide full-spectrum orthopedic trauma care, including operative and non-operative fracture management.
</li><li>Participate in trauma call coverage and collaborate with emergency medicine and hospitalist teams to provide timely consultations and interventions.
</li><li>Manage inpatient orthopedic trauma cases and perform outpatient follow-up care.
</li><li>Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary trauma team to support optimal patient outcomes.
</li><li>Participate in service line development, quality initiatives, and peer review activities.</li></ul></div><p></p>

</b></p><ul><li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
</li><li>Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
</li><li>Fellowship training in <b>Orthopedic Trauma Surgery </b>required.
</li><li><b>Board Certified or Board Eligible </b>in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS or AOBOS).
</li><li><b>Active California medical license </b>(or ability to obtain prior to start).
</li><li>Minimum of <b>2&ndash;3 years of recent orthopedic trauma experience </b>, or completion of a fellowship with advanced exposure to complex fracture care.
</li><li>Current <b>BLS and ACLS certifications </b>required; <b>ATLS </b>preferred.
</li></ul><p><b>Compensation and Benefits
</b></p><ul><li><b>Full-time, 1.0 FTE position.
</b></li><li><b>Income guarantee: </b>$667,182 (first two years for qualified W-2 applicants).
