The Accounting Technician II is located at North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh, NC, which houses approximately 1,318 multi-level custody female offenders. This position will primarily maintain and oversee the financial accounting data for the facility. Technical accounting work may include independent responsibility for maintaining accounting records or separate accounts payable functions. This individual will report to the Administrative Officer I. Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
<ul><li>Analyze data for accuracy, to problem solve, and interpret regulations.
</li><li>Serve as a specialist in an area requiring fiscal knowledge.
</li><li>Various responsibilities affecting the fiscal and financial operations of the respective work unit or involvement in the budget process.
</li><li>Performing various accounting functions through NCAS/NCFS and E-Procurement such as, accounts receivables and payables, purchasing, P-Card reconciliation, and etc.
</li><li>Deals frequently with facility staff to include management, custody and/or medical regarding purchase orders.
</li><li>Maintain a supply inventory, and complete required reports in a timely manner.
</li><li>Must be able to work independently and meet constant deadlines while performing several tasks simultaneously.

</h2>North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW) , in Raleigh, is the state's primary prison for women. It houses the largest offender population in the state and serves as the support facility for the state's other female prisons. The campus-style facility sits on 30 acres of a 190-acre tract of state land in southeast Raleigh. NCCIW houses offenders of all custody levels and control statuses, including death row, maximum, close, medium, minimum, safekeepers and youth. It provides the primary medical, mental, and alcohol and chemical dependency treatment for female offenders.
The facility operates a diagnostic center that serves as the point of entry into the prison system for women. Upon arrival, offenders undergo a series of diagnostic evaluations that will determine future prison assignments.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). The selected candidate will work Monday &ndash; Friday 8am &ndash; 5pm. Hours may vary at times depending on the business needs of the facility.

This position is located at NC Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh, which houses approximately 1,776 of minimum, medium, or close custody female offenders.
Reporting to the Program Supervisor or Program Director I. Duties will include but are not limited to:
<ul><li>Provide counseling and will complete and update case management assessments and plans. Must meet with each offender on caseload at least bi-monthly, enter contact notes, and submit timely classification reviews.
</li><li>Ensure that all components of caseload are met, including but not limited to: orientation of offender, blood borne pathogens training of offender, reports, inspections, graduations and recognition events, correspondence, transfer request, job and program assignment requests, emergency leaves, crisis intervention, security risks, nature of crime, length of sentence, time left to serve, infraction history, work history, vocational skills training, academic education, anger management, cognitive behavior intervention, substance abuse treatment, pending charges and/or detainers and security threat group affiliation.
</li><li>Address in each offender&rsquo; assessment plan the following: victim, sobriety, family mental health, sex offender, employability, education, life skills, physical/medical condition, housing, transport, financial and legal issues.
</li><li>Balance attempts at self-help and rehabilitation with the overall safety, security, management, supervision, protection, and custody of the offender.
</li><li>Certified and will assist in any needed custody-related duties to include offender medical, court trips, site checks, Work Release, and Community Volunteer Programs.
