This posting is for a part-time Staff Development &amp; Training Intern (Fall 2026) with Juvenile Justice, a division of DPS. This Internship is expected to start on August 24, 2026 and ending on October 23, 2026. The work schedule is part time, up to 30 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. We value our employees and are committed to providing flexibility in work schedules.
 
 
This internship will participate in the development of an in-service training course to include a lesson plan and supplemental learning materials. Subject matter will focus on an emerging topic within the juvenile justice field. The training will be targeted for entry level and tenured juvenile justice employees as well as local and state community partners.
 
 
Specific responsibilities include:
 
<ul><li>Conducting independent research on various topics
</li><li>Interpreting General Statues, Administrative Code, Policies and Procedures and its application in meeting desired outcomes
</li><li>Facilitating multiple aspects of project management for developing an adult learning course
</li><li>Troubleshooting and problem-solving a range of issues related to the development of training curricula for diverse work groups, specifically for adult learners.
